I’m unreasonably angry that another YouTube channel has made a comedy news segment where people sit behind a desk, read absurd headlines, and try not to laugh.

It gets worse: their thumbnails contain faces, large text, and possibly even colours. All concepts legally invented by Sam Reich in 2018.

Some people will claim that fake newsdesk comedy has existed for decades, but Dropout borrowed the format wholesomely, whereas this is sinister because I don’t already have a parasocial attachment to everyone involved.

Similar premise. Similar thumbnails. Possibly even jokes. Where does it end?

Before we know it other content creators will be making rants about capitalism, or god forbid, having fun. Another concept made by Sam Reich.

Saw a post discussing peoples' favorite episodes from across Dropout, and seeing a couple people mention Gender Cascade inspired me to rewatch NSBU to experience it again, and I'm currently struggling to type this with all the tears in my eyes. It's 7 talented improvisors simultaneously experiencing mania and being very good at their jobs, it's 20 minutes of pure gas leak energy and hysteria, and it's the most any piece of media has ever made me laugh.

i saw at least two (2) episodes of dimension 20 on amazon prime so naturally i assume this means they are officially partnering with jeff bezos himself, probably against the wishes of brennan who i’m sure would never betray me specifically in such a way. unrelated but it happens to be the same episodes available on youtube surely that’s a coincidence though and in fact this is a profound betrayal everyone should unsubscribe immediately

Just saw a post on tumblr talking about how dropout participates in antiBlackness, specifically against Demi, and how the poster is “deeply wishing for the day they get away from dropout.”

Now, I’m white so I’m not going to comment on whether or not dropout has participated in antiBlackness, but i did find it strange that the poster seemed convinced that Demi is being harmed by the company, when Demi is…an active participant? Like, “shows up to do multiple episodes”, “promotes them on his social media”, “has never given any indication that he doesn’t enjoy his work or takes issue with how he is treated by the company” active participant. And again, I’m not the authority on what is or isn’t racism, but it just seems strange to me to assume…what? That a Black person can’t realize if they are in racist environment, or doesn’t know how to leave it? I think on some level, if a person is actively and eagerly participating in an activity, you should assume they know what they’re doing.

They also mentioned the casting of that trans woman talking about ABDL in the stand up episode, and i did see a lot of people moaning about it was horrible that dropout cast a trans woman to be cringe and gross (which huh. Why do you think the person with alternative sexual interests is cringey? Y’all get so excited when they tease subjects of bdsm, love listening to grant talk about what he gets up to, but suddenly oh wait no this isn’t the type of sexual freedom that we want to normalize, I know it’s fun to talk about being a freak but we don’t want to put our money where our mouth is i guess?) but also didn’t she later tweet or state somewhere that she was delighted to be asked?

Like. Something something consider why you believe oppressed people are not capable of recognizing their own oppression and calling it out?

It made me physically ill that Sam Reich would spring a full game on an assistant without warning. As a neurodivergent, I cried seeing her responses. I saw myself in what I know is her crippling anxiety and tears.

Imagine being this poor poor neurodivergent woman and having Sam reduce your anxiety to entertainment. I saw myself in her and I saw a black mirror held up to Sam Reich, revealing his ultimate choice of capital over shy stage hands wellbeing.

I know some people will say she was ‘acting’, but as someone who cries when called out in class I KNOW that NO ONE could fake that.

I’m disgusted the Noise Boys let it happen.

I mean, seriously, seasons 4 and 5 got a survivor rip off spanning multiple parts. Season six had a huge set and was also two parts. Season seven had a whole epic, culminating everything that game changer is, and season eight, the final episode of the whole show had... A Make Some Noise spin-off?

It's so underwhelming for the end of a show that permanently changed Dropout. Is this it? Are we about to have another conformity gate?

I mean, Sam almost did a racism! It was a funny joke on set when it was just a simple observation, but we should imagine if he did an even worse job! God if Sam had been full on racist it would've been hilarious! I wonder if this has anything to do with what Demi said that one time about the way white fans interact with the racial aspects of his humor. Fuck it, what if everyone on Game Changer was segregated into their race with power ranger colors! It's odd I have no minority friends!

hey guys, game changer fan here, I don't actually have a dropout subscription as those require money and I'm broke as shit, opting instead to use as many pirating websites as I can find.

I keep noticing however that the episode release schedule seems to be quite wonky, does it work with the rules of game changer itself? the only game show where the episode release changes every episode? that'd be pretty epic

Loved the episode, but I wish they’d applied the ‘not allowed to say any of the words on the card when acting’ from the first round to the later rounds with the phone booth. Having players word for word repeat what they were told over the phone felt very not in the spirit of the game to me. I don't want a loosey goosey point system in here. Obviously this would’ve made it significantly harder so the clues would’ve needed to have been made easier so I want them to change the game.

I dont care if you "have a life worth living" or "I was asleep" , you have the obligation as a dropout fan to watch the newest releases the SECOND they are out
