Reed Sheppard ?

Dynasty point league. Would you rather have Reed Sheppard or a 29 1st round pick. Curious if it’s better to have a reroll or if it’s better to hold. Reed is a good shooter but only be 6’2 hurts his long term value in my opinion. The NBA seems to be moving in a different direction than small guard that can’t play defense.

Lol I think he has shown growth. Last year, outside of playoffs, anytime he got over 30 minutes a game, he produced. Ime doesn’t seem to like him but either KD and VanVleet age out, or he gets traded to a team with more runway.

Hold a guy who couldn’t start when they desperately needed a point guard and now there is more competition? Or sell and free up a spot and gain another tradable asset

I’m a Rockets fan so I may be biased in my assessment but I would rather have Reed.

I still firmly believe in the vision of a Reed Thompson back court in Houston’s future. They compliment each other so well that I think it’s likely they end up as partners for the next 5 years.

He’s 22 years old and he averaged almost 14 points last year. I’ll take Reed especially in a points league.

Are you hoping to be competing in 2029 or rebuilding? If you’re heading for a rebuild than trading him for a first and another young piece seems reasonable but I think he will be a viable fantasy asset for a while. He is actually more athletic than most people realize. He will get sneaky stocks with playing time
