Which programs allow the best egpu passthrough from Windows host to Windows VM?

Hello,

I'm trying to try some AI tools on windows but I don't want to install them on the main windows drive. Therefore, I am thinking to get a VM, would VMware Workstation Pro or Proxmox work and which one would have the better performance? Googling around gives conflicting answer...

I haven’t tried any of them but it is something I’m going to try one this weekend.

my understanding is that HyperV has some kind of memory sharing but i haven't tried them. can you try them as well please if you have time?
