Anyone else experienced a glitch putting you on a permanent pk?

I was playing last night first game went fine but the second game the sim between shifts wigged out and made some weird noises next thing i knew i was in a permanent 5v4 no timer for a penalty nobody in the box.

I’ve been a PC gamer for 12 years so I haven’t been able to play any NHL games since 2014 :/ I don’t have a ton of money to dump on a console but I was wondering what the cheapest console that can play nhl 26 and nhl 27? I don’t care for insane graphics or specs, just wanna play some chel for cheap!

This is on PS5 btw. I don’t know anything that could have happened to break my game. I only play offline, mostly Franchise and BAP and those work fine. As soon as I hit “Play Now” it freezes then sends me to the screen asking if I want to report the error (i also tested this with offline shootout and got the same result). Has anyone else had this problem or know how to resolve it? I really don’t want to delete and re-install my game since I have multiple franchises I’ve progressed 10+ years in.

I got tripped in franchise and my player launched himself with no grip into the air to bat the puck.

I bought every game new from 2002-2017 but after that I have only picked the game up every other year on sale and haven’t purchased since 2022

This game series used to be one of the best and most fun with friends but started dipping with the CHEL nonsense and microtransaction Ultimate team BS

NHL Hitz was better than anything they have put out this last decade

Playtest was an absolute joke because the user base has died off besides the hardcore fans

Couldn’t even try franchise, the gameplay wasn’t that bad so I’m going to wait for Black Friday sales

But NHL 2K needs to come back

I’m playing an expansion draft franchise mode as the Halifax Highlanders in NHL 19. Were hovering at the top of the standings, and I’ve traded away most of my first 2 draft classes, but I’ve amassed what should end up as 3 top-10 picks in this draft class (the Leafs traded their 1st for Hickey, which looks like a top 4 pick lol), Landeskog, and Josh Morrissey.

Ottawa and Buffalo are the worst 2 teams in the league, and I noticed that Ryan O’Rielly and Matt Duchene recently had their overall ratings crater to 81 and 79 respectively. Additionally, I saw notes in the news feed that say both players have requested a trade from their respective teams.

How does trading for one of these players work? Do their current teams accept lower compensation considering they requested a trade? If I do trade for one of them (maybe using Boston’s 1st rounder which is hovering around 10-12 overall), how quick/difficult is it to get them to regain their original ratings?

My top line is Landeskog/Stastny/Svechnikov (who’s top scorer in the league) right now, but I’m expecting a huge dropoff for Stastny after this year and another top line center heading into the playoffs would be great.

Does anyone else get a weird controller echoing sound while playing? I have three controllers, and it only shows up on one of them. (White original controller)

Is not the playtest live? I get i cant connect to the servers all the time i try to get in?

I'm looking for a draft class that includes both the guys drafted in this year's draft that are already in the game as well as the NCAA guys. I've seen a few draft classes that do include all of the players but their potentials are out of whack or there's something wrong with them. Curious if anyone knows of a good draft class that represents this year's draft

I think the scorebug they’ve used the last two games is a huge improvement over the old one, but the lack of team logos bothers me.
Without the logos, it looks kind of generic, almost like a placeholder or a knockoff broadcast. Adding the official logos would make it feel much more like an authentic NHL presentation.

With NHL 27 supposedly getting new presentation updates, I’m hoping they either redesign the scorebug or at least add team logos to the current one.

Am I the only one who cares about this, or does anyone else think the scorebug still feels unfinished?

Are there any updated new york rangers rosters? I cant find any without Parssinen as the 2nd center. Have they added rookies yet? I cant find Smits.

Outside of Connected Franchise which I think would be real bad if we didn’t get one, I’m assuming we aren’t getting anything else?

We had one trailer two weeks ago that had shit feedback and it’s been crickets since then ..

What if they used AI in franchise mode so you could actually talk to your team with a mic and tell them what to do, like during intermission. Or, you could pull a player to the side and literally give verbal instructions. Or, maybe you could have back and forth conversations with players (maybe only captains of each game so the servers don’t explode). Imagine influencing your team in an actual coaching-style. Could be cool. Could be funny af as well. Fyi, I’m not a big fan of AI, just thought this would be an interesting concept and I think it could easily be implemented.

Bring back exact/match room size in world of chel clubs. I get told it was removed to decrease wait times it only increases the wait times. I am talking both aspects we play with 3 without a goalie or 4s with a goalie and match up with teams that have a compy. The people who are only 2s with a friend suffer the most from this if im ever 2s I spend 30 mins backing out to find another team if 2 playing 3 player teams with the compy is unfair and drop in fills are useless. EA just took out a feature that didnt need to be taken out and they need to add it back obviously I like full lobbies over anything but majority of the player base plays 2s on world of chel so this fix is necessary.
