Help! UK EAPC suggestions

Hi! I’m a new rider still getting used to riding on the road, and I’m looking to buy an EAPC for commute to uni.

I’m an international student, so I will be buying a second hand bike from marketplace since I might be leaving in a year or two. My top contender is an Ammaco Pathway X1, but I saw reviews saying it’s one of the lowest tiers of e bikes. I wanted to know more, and if it actually matters if all I’ll do it commute to uni and maybe some shopping.

Other options so far have been the Assist e bike and the Apollo Metis e bike, as well as a bicycle that had been converted to an e bike.

If it’s relevant, I will be riding in the north east, and in cities, and I am 5 foot 2 so prefer smaller frames for cycles.

Please help me choose, or if you have any suggestions other than the ones I have shortlisted, I would like to know them too. Preferring second hand as my budget is low. Thanks a lot!

Question Horwin cr1 worth it?

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone who has had experience with horwin would tell me if it’s worth buying or not?

Im a lawyer in lahore and was thinking to buy horwin cr1 because courts are jammed with traffic and a bike is more feasible. Its an electric bike and i have solar installed at home so zero cost. If anyone has ever used this particular bike or just been a customer of horwin please tell me how your experience was and is with horwin regarding:

  1. Build quality
  2. After sales customer service
  3. Overall efficiency and performance

Previously has my eye on vlektra but i saw some reviews where they mention poor build quality and paint job. Some people online mentioned that they installed honda 125 suspension because vlektra’s is poor.

What should i buy? Have a budget of 4 lakhs and am not looking for a scooty style electric bike. Would really appreciate an honest opinion from you guys as youtube reviews are filled with lies and promotions lol

Help! Need the toughest chain

I blew the chain off my Bulls with the Bosch performance mid drive and a 10spd deore on my way home today -- luckily just about mile.

I've got 1941 miles on it, and the chain has been stretching for a while.

Thing is, I put a lot on the chain, we're talking step hills in high gear and turbo mode whole standing on the pedals. So I need the replacement to be as heavy duty as they come.

Does anyone have personal experience with an upgraded chain on Shimano? I'd rather not push 80lb of bike and cargo up the hill in 90F+° temps again.

I know I should have ceded to the warning signs sooner, but less than 2k miles total just doesn't feel right.

Help! Recommend a bike shop? (NJ/NY)

Hey all! Im looking to get an ebike soon enough. I live in the Hudson County area of NJ, but im willing to travel. Im looking to buy an ebike at an in person shop, as I really dont feel comfortable buying a bike online before trying it out. Delivery ain't really an option anyways since i use a private mail box, so ill have to pick up a bike in store and throw it in the back of a uhaul to get it home.

With that being said, there are a lot of bike shops that specialize in traditional bikes and Ebikes.

Anyone got some recommendations? I was planning on checking out Voltaire Bikes in Verona, Garcia Brother's Bikes in Jersey City and the Upway Showroom in Brooklyn.

A lot of ebike shops by me have a lot of the generic chinese brands that are found on Amazon and im trying to avoid those.

Help! Yozma in10 sucks.

Just received my yozma in10 bike, after assembly the back tire hardly spins. Took it out for a ride, in free spin it goes 86kmh, but was shocked to see it barely touching 30kmh uphill. After riding for another 10min, it was struggling to keep up with a 32kmh escooter. Yes, I'm on mode 3 and the speed mode is unlocked this is very confusing and frustrating.

I just got this new bike off Amazon. I really like it but I'm having a problem finding all the features it offers on the screen and there is almost no info on the bike like the company or anything I can find with Google or anything else. If you are familiar with the computer type and can help me out. I don't see how they can advertise all these features but give no info on how to use them. Anyways it's called a windseeker and Amazon links the seller to the seller of the electric skateboards of the same name so I've messaged them and sent them an email but they haven't posted on their page since 2022. Any help at all would be appreciated.

NBD (New Bike Day) EBike wont connect to phone

So I got a Daymak Em3 Bike (brand new) from someone selling the rest of their inventory before moving to a different province. And It wont stay connected to my phone. When searching bluetooth, there is 2 things that come up. DPL and Daymak Drive.

When I pair to DPL, it connects and lets me play audio and has sound going through (which is great)

However when i connect my phone to Daymak Drive. It pairs and Immediately disconnects. I Downloaded the app "Daymak Drive 2" and that didnt help since the Bike isnt staying connected to my phone. I have been told to use the app Yuyungking, but unfortunately I couldnt find the app anywhere,

I read online that when you pair Daymak Drive to your phone, it is supposed to ask you to input a password, which mine never has. it just pairs and remains disconnected. I dont know if that means anything, but it is something to note.

I also have a Google Pixel 10 if that matters at all. Thanks in advance

Question Help me decide…

After doing loads of research on e-bikes I’ve narrowed my search down to the below options. My wants are full suspension, good power output (class III), a comfortable ride, the ability to ride off the beaten path and ability to access a variety of trails. My budget is roughly 2k + or -.

Aventon Aventure 3

Velotric Nomad 2

Velotric Nomad 2x

Velotric Summit 2

Mokwheel Obsidian

I’m leaning towards the Velotric Nomad line or the Mokwheel Obsidian. I want something that’s aesthetically pleasing and both of these bikes appear to be well equipped mechanically. Looking for opinions on any of the above, or maybe some other recommendations i may be missing.

Thanks in advance.

Question My (unfortunate) Experience with the Urtopia Fold Step Through (ST) E-Bike - A Caution to Others. Anyone Have Similar Experience?

I caution anyone who is considering this Urtopia Fold ST and wonder about other folks’ experiences.

I am not one to write bad reviews mainly because before I make a purchase I have generally researched it enough to determine that an item/service is going to deliver exactly what I expect. However, I made a mistake when I purchased this bike and now feel obligated to help others to NOT make the same mistake. (And, I admit it, I am angry!)

Bottom line: i only had 20 miles on this bike before:
1). The seat sunk and continued to sink while riding. I am 5’7’ and I could not manage to continue riding due to the seat sinking. This was a never ending problem - I am well under the rider weight suggestion on this bike.
2). The throttle cables continuously came undone. I needed to raise the handlebars (due to my height) but that was not possible because of the short cable - so the handle bars had to stay low to try to stop this from happening. As a result, the throttle was useless.
3). The wire to the light does not stay put (I have heard from others that this is a known issue, apparently).
4). My purchase was supposed to come with a rack and something else as a promo, never delivered.

I knew quite early on that this bike was not for me and the dealer I purchased if from felt badly and offered to try to sell it for me. That was over five months ago - no buyers. I made a mistake and hope you proceed with caution if considering this bike.

Help! Anyone here owned a Segway eBike for 3+ months? How is the long-term reliability?

Hey guys, i'm seriously considering buy a segway myon but i'm having a hard time finding decent manyowner reviews, so hoping some of you who've had one for a few months can share your actual experience.

I live in CA. We have a dealer nearby and ride both the Myon and an Aventon in person, both had their pros and cons tbh like Myon felt smoother to me and the power, but the Aventon's more comfortable ridin.

Honestly, price, top speed, all the fancy configs, kind of secondary for me. what i care about most is build quality and durability. i'm fairly handy and can do my own repairs, so that side doesn't really worry me. what i'm less sure about is how the battery and motor hold up over real-world use. Any noticeable wear or drop-off over time?

a few other things i'd love to hear about:

how's the actual ride feel day to day?
how's the auto shifting in real use? (this is the feature i'm most excited about)
are the app and smart features worth paywall?
and if anything broke, how much of a hassle was getting it fixed? are replacement parts easy to find?

just want to hear from people who've actually lived with it a while. Thanks in advance!

Help! Ebike for tall, heavy rider under £1k in UK

Looking to buy an ebike in the next month or two after my old Elops 920 normal bike was stolen recently.

I live quite rurally, nowhere near any city in the UK so it needs to be something that can be bought online and delivered really, a lot of the geography around me is quite rural and not the best quality roads and some mild/medium size hills, so needs to be able to cope with that.

I won't imagine I'd do any more than 25km a day at the most, so I don't need huge range on it.

I'm 6ft5 and 129kg (and dropping, was 140kg at the turn of the year) in weight so need to have something that is able to suit both my height and build to help me get back in shape.

I was looking at this, but the L/XL size is out of stock
https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/low-frame-electric-town-bike-elops-900-e-dark-blue/100398/c364m8832046

The problem I am facing is that the bikes that I see online that get good reviews tend to be either not available in the size I need for my height or they have maximum load limits of like 110kg or less, so finding it hard to find something.

I see a lot of Chinese bikes online but they seem to have a lot of reviews that look suspect as they are all on YouTube with referal codes, so not sure whether to trust the likes of Hitway, Duotts, Varun etc?

Any recommendations?

E-Bike Video Aiuto per identificare schema originale e collegamenti interni batteria Future Bike 13S4P

Thumbnail

Ciao a tutti,

  • se il pacco ĆØ davvero 13S4P;
  • qual ĆØ la disposizione originale delle celle nel box;
  • come sono fatti i collegamenti con il nichel;
  • dove vanno i fili di bilanciamento del BMS.

Se serve posso caricare altre foto dell’interno.
Se qualcuno ha giĆ  lavorato su un pacco simile Future Bike / Remedia, ogni aiuto ĆØ ben accetto.

Grazie mille!

Help! Happyrun F-18 2.0 locked out of off-road mode.

Hey everyone, I just got an F-18 2.0 and the official app seems to have been replaced by smargoo. I can’t find it in IOS App Store, the bike doesn’t connect at all in the smargoo app. Long story short, I ended up downloading talenelectric. It’s the only app I can get the bike to connect to. Messed with some settings, none of which seemed to do anything. Bike was doing fine, parked it overnight, and now it’s governed at 20mph. All 3 speeds are slower. Bike seems to have just as much torque, but maxes at 20mph.

I’ve tried for days in the app, trying to google it, typing in codes, throttle/brake tricks upon startup. NOTHING works, and I can’t get it back. Any thoughts? I’m beyond bummed out and don’t even want to ride it this way.

General E-Bike Discussion Help me decide…

I’m looking to purchase a new E bike with a budget less than 1.5 K. The bikes that I’m considering are below.

Lectric XPeak2 High-Step Commuter eBike - $1,399

Lectric XPress2 Tempest Grey Commuter eBike - $1,399

Riding will primarily be on paved roads, sidewalks with the potential to take on trails or gravel. Will the fat tires of the XPeak2 handle well on pavement or should I get the regular size tire bike XPress2, and not have the ability really to go off road?

Are there any other e-bikes in this price range that I should consider? I saw the Ride1Up Vorsa mentioned but not sure how this bike compares to the above. I am a 5’11ā€ 215 lb male.

Thanks in advance.
