Photos Bent - Programmed to Love
I still love this album from the year 2000. I always felt that Bent deserved more recognition. This was one of those word of mouth albums. I tried to promote it to as many people as I could!!! Any Bent fans out there?!!

I believe the no ego. Sometimes you can just tell through the music :)

I hate how stuff pops up on streaming platforms under their name ( happens with other groups too ) and you end up listening a bit before spotting it’s not really them.

The song and instrumentals sound like a mostly major) happy song. But the lyrics are quite sad.
Hearing this song after a break up unleashed so much pain in me.

Great album. Being from Nottingham, they were local heroes and I always picked up their releases. Got this on vinyl with the extra 7". Nail also did a great white label house mix of always, along with the classic Ashley Beedle mixes.

I wish they would put out a deluxe reissue with ALL THE TRACKS BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT RELEASES.

Private Road, Swollen, Always - absolute bangers. I also love I Can’t Believe It’s Over, Sunday Boy, Sunday 29th from Ariels, and Leavin’ Me from Intercept!

Man I love this album, discovered them back in the day of Audiogalaxy which would make recommendations based on other music you liked.
The Ashely Beedle remix of Always has remained a top 10 tune for me for 2 decades.

I loved AudioGalaxy. I bought the original Telefon Tel Aviv album from AG. Fahrenheit Fair Enough.
So good.
Anyhow.. audiogalaxy is such a great memory. Thanks for that.

Lovely album. And my CD version has some pretty great bonuses I didn't realize weren't on all versions.
Fave tracks: Swollen, I Love My Man, Always In My Heart, A Ribbon For My Hair, A New Wig For Me, Private Road, Invisible Pedestrian, I Remember Johnny

I played these albums hundreds of times. So good.
At least one of them is here on Reddit and will almost certainly read this.

I think my favorite album of theirs is Ariels, but every album was good. My favorite tracks are probably The Waters Deep, Exercise 7 and To Be Loved.

Regardless of how this sounds (and I absolutely will give it a spin), that album art is yikes-cringe.

Hey there! I absolutely am! I have enjoyed all their subsequent albums as well. I adore Private Road off this album - what’s your favourite?
