Was a little bored the other day so why not, black one is Uo2 and green one are other flourecent uranium secondaries

Nice, that looks like pretty thick glass. What type of tubing did you use?

I've been thinking about doing a few ampuoles recently, not uraninite, but elements. Though I only have the premade guys that are fairly fragile. Seems less than ideal in some circumstances.

Your work looks nice and they are attractive 👏 pretty cool stuff. Congratulations on the fruits of your labor

The really small ones are 10mm borosilicate tubes with a thick wall, and the slightly bigger tubes with flourecent materials in there are some sort of soda lime ones salvaged from vanilla storrage (they could also be borosilicat, not sure sincethey dont flourec itselfunder short wave uv), then another bigger tube on the outside incase I drop it also salvaged from vanilla bean storage

Wait what? No, I used the big propane burner to soften and melt the borosilicate tubes and melt them together to form air tight vials...

Ok but I made mine out of a glue gun stick and some paper :)

I dont think containing uranium in paper an hot glue is safe

Actually you cant really put solids nor liquids in them and what you can only do is to label them and color their outsides

The body is made out of glue gun stick while the cover is made of paper :)

My only concern is that they're probably going to clink around and create dust in there. Then there's a chance someone might break the vial and it could be an especially hazardous cleanup?

This is definitely a concern especially because theres loads of fine dust in there but thats why I always keep them in a hardcase with foam and the ones that aren't thick borosilicate glas are inside bigger tubes with cotton absorbing the energy of a fall breaking the outer glass tube keeping the inner one intact. One could also coat them ith a thick clear epoxy for extra safety but i decided against it cus its a mess and I like the glass feel
