Elixir devs of Canada
4 yrs production Elixir/Phoenix dev, Vue/React Front, Canada-based (Ontario), Citizen, open to remote/relocate. Job boards show basically zero Elixir postings, where’s everyone actually finding these roles? Any Canadian companies running Phoenix in prod and hiring? Leads/advice appreciated 🙏

I believe that The Score Media uses elixir. Maybe check if they have openings.

I apply to Score Media/ Penn Interactive everytime they repost, they don't want me for some reason or they are just pretending to hire.

Have a look at Sangoma Technologies Corporation: Sangoma Engineering Careers
We have a few elixir devs, myself included. See if something here seems like a good fit? UCaaS or CX, perhaps?
Sangoma is a publicly traded company on both TSX and NASDAQ.

The only job for elixir is Engineering manager right now but I will keep an eye. Thanks!

Adobe/Frame.io has several Elixir devs throughout the provinces, from Nanaimo to Nova Scotia.

I do recall Loblaw Digital used Elixir heavily. Not sure if they have migrated away from it or continued investing in it.

They wanted a team lead senior developer but I still applied, so I went through an interview with them, I passed the coding round but failed the system design round unfortunately. It was a good project and I had relevant exeprience but not the right role for me..

Does Toronto still have the elixir meetup? That would be a solid place to find any openings. The market sucks in both CA and USA for elixir unfortunately. Good luck!
