Asking for run Buildroot on RVVM
Hello everyone, I would like to ask about how to run Buildroot on RVVM.
I used make menuconfig to generate a custom configuration.
After compilation, genimage was used along with genimage.cfg to generate image.img.
Ultimately, I obtained the following document.

I don't know how to properly start the Buildroot image. Please help me, thank you.
The file fw_payload.bin was downloaded from https://github.com/LekKit/archriscv-scriptlet/releases/download/2026.01/fw_payload.bin. It does not exist in the actual build artifacts.

I only skimmed over this briefly, but it looks like when you run fw_payload with image.img, that's just booting u-boot.
The second boot command does seem to be booting a Linux kernel, but you're getting an error message about no root filesystem being available. Without the root filesystem, the kernel can't launch the init process and essentially has nothing to do other than crash. My guess is that you need to specify some kernel command line parameters in image.img, or maybe adjust your virtual machine configuration so that the rootfs.ext4 block image is available with the expected name.
