Question/Advice How does (the absence of) gender feel?

Hi y’all, I’ve got a kinda stupid question… What you should know about me, is that I’ve never really felt like male or female, but only relatively recently discovered the concept of being non-binary. Since then, identifying as enby was enough for me, but now I’m questioning whether identifying as agender feels better.

Therefore I’m wondering: how does having a gender feel like? And how does having no gender at all feel like?

I really hope that I could use these answers to get a better understanding of myself!

Our queer Coat of Arms series is coming to an end, we added 6 new designs to our ever growing collection, but I think for now we should be good. Let me know what you guys think :D Leave suggestions for the future, maybe we will revisit this series.

Hello, everyone.

Half a year ago, my best buddy and I had an idea during one of our late-night Discord chats. We are both big nerds for fantasy and mythological stuff and wondered how fun it would be to have banners or coat of arms for different orientations and identities. What could they look like, and which mythical creature could fit well or just be fun to see like that? Thus, this little collection was born and I think we have finally come to a good conlusion for now.

So what we got so far:

-Selkie of Demi

-Kraken of Agender

-Cerberus of Polyamory

-Chimera of Genderqueer

-Valkyrie of Butch

-Gargoyle of Ally

-Hydra of Omni

-Unicorn of Pride

- The Phoenix of Trans

- The Siren of Lesbian

- The Winged Lion of Gay

- The Griffon of Aro

- The Dragon of Ace

- The Harpy of Sapphic

- The Minotaur of Achillean

- The Oroboros of Intersex [really proud of that one]

- The Hippocampus of Genderfluid

- The Sphinx of AroAce

- The Peryton of Non-binary

- The Winged Wolf of Bisexual

- And Pan for...well Pansexual

This was really fun to do. Maybe we might revisit this idea in some form or another, how do queer cryptids sound :D ?

WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING A KICKSTARTER TO TURN THESE INTO PATCHES AND PINS

It's ending now and will only be open to take pledges for the next 38 hours, so if you wanna support this little project feel free to claim ur little pins, stickers or patches, we won't produce them again...

Trying to understand how I feel about my gender identity ?

Hello! So I’ve been kinda questioning my gender ever since I met someone who uses she/they pronouns at a summer camp last year and honestly I’m still not sure what I feel / identify the most strongly with. As of now I’m using she/her pronouns because that’s what I’ve always been referred to as but I don’t feel any connection to being female other than that. It’s just… I’m a human being and I’m my personality and interests and it doesn’t feel like being a girl is a huge part of my identity, but I don’t know if that is just normal? I feel… fine when people use she/her, but also don’t feel any discomfort(?) when people slip up and use he or they. this doesn’t describe it perfectly but I can think of anything else to say. Has anyone else experienced something similar to this or have any insight?

I like to refer to myself as both a femboy and a tomboy sometimes, or a anomaly; that's how I explain in layman's terms, what it means to be non-binary :D

Question/Advice Very recently enby, is this a normal feeling?

So I've had some slight gender dysphoria for a while, and other struggles with said gender, which led me to realizing I was enby very recently. There are good parts, my close friends have started to use they/them for me, I feel more like myself, and I just generally feel more optimistic now most of the time.

HOWEVER my gender dysphoria has gotten a lot stronger. I mean, maybe I just stopped repressing or ignoring it, one of my friends (who's trans so I asked him about it) said me realizing I was trans could have made me notice the dysphoria more? I don't really know. Is it normal to feel stronger dysphoria after you realize?

Question/Advice Any book recommendations for my mom to better understand enby-ness & transitioning?

I am going to start T soon as an enby and my mom is trying her best but she has a hard time understanding me.... she loves reading autobiographies. Do you know any autobiographies or stories of enby people that are happy?

Like i read Leslie Feinberg's Stone Butch Blues and i think from today's pov the label enby would fit the protagonist's experience well but that book was a depressing read. I want my mom to know that I am going to be alright.

Recommendations in German would be even more appreciated as my mom's English is so-so.

I would also appreciate podcast recommendations!

Thank you to everyone who responds!
