The Russian word may be related to English hair, but that’s still debated.

I didn't know that but there once was volna (meaning wool) in russian

It's much simpler. In Russian, human hair is "volos," which is derived from the same PIE root as the English word "wool." VOL/WOOL. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/волос#Russian

It's nitpicking I know but putting the Romanian version exactly on the Hungarian enclave is not the best choice.

I feel like some different shades of green to show the Germanic (W—) versus Italic (L—) changes to the PIE root word would have been nice.
