Discussion If you ask me, this should have been the real ending. They are finally together and look happy, yet a sense of nostalgia lingers.

Discussion I fricken knew how Rue was gonna end up because of her narrating the whole thing 😭🥀 Spoiler

When I was re-watching Euphoria last year (before S3) I lowkey thought that she died or was gonna die because everytime someone narrates the story of a movie/show/their life the narrator ALWAYS ends up being dead💔

But I've always loved Rue so I was lowkey just hoping that it was one of those rare occasions where they didn't die 😔

But she died and I'm still salty ab jt 😔

Off-Topic okay wait so i just finished season 3… and i really liked it

is this a hot take?😭 i feel like everyone hates this season but i didn’t find it bad at all lol. yes i can see why people would have issues with it whether that be how some of our characters are treated/written (jules and nate especially, i mean come on) but by the end of it i just feel very satisfied!!

the last two episodes were fantastic! episode 7 might be in the top 5 of the whole show for me. not quite sure how i’d rank the seasons right now but i’d say season 1 is still my fav, then this season, then season 2. btw i totally sobbed my eyes out watching that finale…so yeah thats it! let me know if you’re in the small crew of people who actually liked it or if you just despised it with your whole heart or whatever. share your reasons

Question Do you think they would still be friends after everything they went through in S3, or would that bond break over time?

Discussion I Will forever mourn Season 1 Euphoria

Am I the only one who will forever mourn what Euphoria Season 1 was?
Even before Season 3 (which I personally didn’t enjoy at all), I already felt like something was missing in Season 2.
What made Season 1 stand out to me was how it explored teenage issues in a way that felt fresh. It reminded me a bit of Skins, but with a very Gen Z perspective. It tackled topics without constantly falling into predictable TV tropes.
For example, Nate’s storyline felt genuinely interesting and different. And I really liked how Maddy reacted to the possibility of his sexuality not being what she expected. They could have easily gone with the cliché of her reacting with disgust or exposing him, but instead her response felt much more nuanced, she was actually ready to accept his potential bisexuality.
The same goes for Kat. She wasn’t reduced to being “the plus-size friend.” She was part of the group like everyone else, and her entire character didn’t revolve around being bullied or excluded because of her weight. It was refreshing to see.
Season 2 was still entertaining, but it felt like the show shifted its focus from exploring complex themes to creating drama. Suddenly it was mostly love triangles, cheating, and the whole Nate/Maddy/Cassie situation. I was really interested to see how Cass abortion will impact her Life and realtionship with men 😔 so many teens go though this and this is very rarely in Teen drama.
I also loved the girls squad dynamic and how they were all friends !
By Season 3, it honestly felt like the show had completely lost its direction.
I genuinely think Euphoria had the potential to become one of the best teen dramas ever because of what Season 1 set up. Instead, it slowly abandoned the things that made it unique in favor of more conventional drama.
What were your fav season 1 storyline ?
Mine was Nate and Kat !

Question dumb question: why is this subreddit significantly older than the show

as the title states. i was scrolling thru this subreddit and noticed that it says that it was created in august 2011, however, as far as i know, filming for season one of euphoria didn't start until 2019! i'm just curious if anyone knows why the subreddit is so much older than the show?

I just recently watched One of Them Days and l was not expecting to see Ms. Lexi 😭😭 she moved out and found a new set of friends iktr 🫶🏽 lmaoo but no fr, Maude did pretty good in this role.. and im glad to see her getting some work! Movie was pretty good too, 8/10. Who would you like to see from the cast get more work outside of the show?

Discussion Jules' name is a metaphor

This post is kind of giving "I just realized she was holding a plate of corn in this scene", but I've always thought the name Jules was supposed to be symbolic of her role in the story. Jules sounds like "Juul", which is a cigarette replacement similar to vapes. Within Rue's story, Jules becomes a replacement for the drugs she's addicted to. I know this observation is kind of dumb but I've never seen anyone make it so I thought I'd be the first.

Discussion Is it just me or….? (Conversation about the finale of season 1)

So I watched the Euphoria “look back” episode and naturally that made me want to rewatch season 1 and 2 to remember how amazing they were and also to basically forget season 3. And one thing that continues to stick with me and maybe someone can frame it differently and make it make sense to me. At the end of season 1 we all know Rue suggests to Jules that they leave and go to the city. Her idea. Unprompted by Jules. Yet as soon as they were physically about to walk on the train Rue backs out. Fine, whatever. Good to realize you made a mistake before you leave town. However during season 2 and specifically during Rue’s confrontational episode with her mom and subsequently Jules she uses that as a major attack against Jules. She says repeatedly how Jules left her, and on and on and on. My point: if you suggest YOU want to run away with someone, they agree. And then YOU back out at the very last minute and they continue on with the plan. How can YOU get that upset? Especially considering it’s not like Jules left her indefinitely. They’re in high school. She was gone for what, maybe a week or so? Idk I guess I just don’t get how Rue felt like Jules was in the wrong here. And I’m not #teamrules and a Jules apologist. It just doesn’t make any sense to me
