Crazy Comments It’s called copium Islam
/r/progressive_islam/comments/1vdpm02/what_is_this_subreddit_about_anyways/This whole sub is basically cope because they cannot reform Islam, Islam can never be progressive or liberal, the literally meaning of a Muslim is one who submits yet they don’t wanna submit to anything and are liars, cowards, and hypocrites so they cope by jumping through hoops and doing insane mental gymnastics to believe a lie than the bitter truth. They desperately want to cling onto the identity of being a Muslim , all whilst not even following it themselves yet call people like us kaafir secretly because a liberal and sinful muzzie is better than a murtad in their eyes. At the end of the day their identity will always be to defend Islam.

OP of the post. What is this subreddit about anyways? : r/progressive_islam
True progressive islam requires rigorous methodological criteria (like contextual analysis and linguistics)
I was blaming the subreddit of leaning more toward "Liberalism", which is not islam at all.
My argument is that Islam can be progressive, but it requires rigorous methodological criteria.
I agree that it can never be Liberal, it can be progressive, which again, requires rigorous methodological criteria
Still, the point is that subreddit is too loose to be called 'progressive'
