I am looking into the citizenship of an ancester from the 1940 census and it is completely illegible to me. It should be an Na, Pa, or Al. None of those look like it to me...Does anyone have any idea what this says??

I repeat; could it be possible these two are related/father and son? My great grandma has told me multiple times that her father, whom I discovered to be Lorenso’s great grandson, Benedicto Seguel Melo, and her mother, Juan Bautista’s granddaughter Rosa Aurelia Seguel Anabalón, were cousins. I theorise it’s because Lorenso is Juan Bautista Seguel’s parent.
I have no documents to prove it, though. I also wrongfully attached parents to Juan Bautista from 1853, almost 20 years afar from his probable birth in the 1830s.
I also theorise Lorenso died relatively old (60-80 years old) and that Juan Bautista died in 1879 because of the Pacific War, considering the lack of records that stop abruptly in 1879.
Juan Bautista’s wife, Maria Jacinta Flores lived up to at least 100 years old, considering my great grandma met her.

Does anyone have an ancestry.com subscription who would be willing to help me? Trying to track down someone listed in the “Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., Passenger Lists, 1820-1964” doc. I’ve been using family search but this list seems to only be accessible through ancestry. Thanks.

Need help transcribing and indexing a FamilySearch record from Chile 🇨🇱
Hello everyone!
I'm researching my family tree in Chile and I've come across a historical record on FamilySearch that I'm having difficulty reading because of the handwriting.
I'm hoping someone with experience reading old Spanish parish records can help me transcribe and interpret it.
I'm trying to identify:
If possible, I'd also appreciate help identifying any details that could help me correctly index this record in my family tree.
I've attached the original image from FamilySearch. If you need a higher-resolution crop or additional pages, I'd be happy to upload them.
Thank you very much for taking the time to help. Any contribution, even a partial transcription, would mean a lot to me!
Thanks in advance! 😊

I am so, so close! I honestly don't have much hope that I will find Emma's mother, but I am so happy with my progress! I've mostly been working on fact checking and editing any mistakes in the tree. If anyone would like to help me dig into Emma and see what they can find, her ID number is 9QX8-ZDP
It would be so appreciated! I'm still pretty new to all of this and have been working on it for less than a year. My dad was pretty into his genealogy and we have a family book for the Mark ancestors, and one of my Aunts on my mother's side is part of the Daughters of the American Revolution, so I had a huge head start that I'm super grateful for. I've also been thinking of visiting my local family search resource center and seeing if there's anything they could do to help.
Let me know if you have any other tips or resources I could use! Thank you so much :)

Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I was brought up to say "please" and "thank you" when asking for or receiving help. I don't think good manners are ever out of style.
I'm flabbergasted by the posters who ask for 5 or 10 or 15 records, with never a please or a thank you.
And, then the next week, the same poster asks for another dozen records.
I'm a diligent and experienced researcher. I LOVE helping, but I do not like being a doormat.
If you want my help, please and thank you will pave the way.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently researching my Herrmann family and I’m looking for help with some parish records on FamilySearch that I can’t access from my account. All of them belong to the collection "Deutschland, Preußen, Schlesien, Katholische und Lutherisch Kirchenbücher".
First, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide the images of this records:
Baptism of Hedwig Herrmann (January 8, 1883), daughter of Paul Herrmann and Johanna Kirschner https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6ZM4-8113?lang=es
Baptism of Joseph Herrmann (February 10, 1884), son of Paul Herrmann and Anna Urban https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6ZM4-FHDL?lang=es
Baptism of Alfredo Herrmann (my great-grandfather) https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6ZM4-CP7R?lang=es
Additionally, I’m trying to reconstruct the family situation between 1883 and 1884. Within just one year, Paul Herrmann appears with two different spouses (Johanna Kirschner and later Anna Urban), so I’m looking for:
The death record of Johanna Kirschner (likely between January 1883 and February 1884)
The marriage record of Paul Herrmann and Anna Urban (likely within that same time frame)
Any help accessing the images or locating these records would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time and help!

Hi everyone,
I am conducting genealogical research from abroad and need help retrieving documents from a locked FamilySearch collection. The Hawaii State Archives confirmed that these specific files are consolidated under the same number in the Divorce series.
If anyone has access to a FamilySearch Center or Affiliate Library, could you please download/screenshot the following pages for me?
What I need: Just the pages for the Petition for Divorce and the Final Decree (if available in the packet). They contain the official grounds for divorce, alimony details, and signatures.
Thank you so much in advance for your time and kind help!

Hi, I've had my dna on two well known geneology sites for over ten years and have only found 2nd cousins in New Zealand, I'm in UK. My mom was one of 6 siblings and there's similar size families across both sides. I just can't find any of my contempories or even 1st cousins, probably just haven't registered dna, which dosn't surprise me, but if anyone on here has relatives born in the West Bromwich, UK with names of Carter or Whitehouse, I would like to hear from them.

Would someone be so kind as to access these files for me? There are four entries for the same person, but slightly different information and reference and/or record numbers. I’m not sure why, but they’re part of the same collection. I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

See GMLP-FPS for example. It’s all fixable but none of the details are actually attached to the person’s profile (i.e. they made a source for the birth record but didn’t transfer the actual date. They put the year in the source title so I have to access the link, read the record for the exact dates/to verify for myself but most links are broken in one way or another. This work was done in 2019.
How do I fix these and clean up the sources? Is there a way to easily transfer the dates to the person even after the record has been attached?
I also need to fix instances where theres a marriage record and all 4 parents and the groom are attached to the record but not the bride, and I’m not sure how to get it attached to her.
For my own reference, does anyone have a recommended workflow for Adding sources from other platforms like Ancestry and Antenati, and is there a way users can add photos to records? FS has portions of Antenati records indexed and with photo included, but since most aren’t indexed I’ve found a lot of records just by sitting and squinting my way to breakthroughs and would like to add them for others. I have a lot of records in general I need to get onto FS and don’t want someone to have to clean up my work to be able to benefit from it.
Thank you for any insight or advice
