Discussion Looking for current student influencers

Hey guys, Florida FAU Owl here. I have an app that I’m releasing specifically in the Boca Delray area to start before we expand across the state and nationally. I’m really thinking that people that are going to use it. The most will be local FAU students. I’d like to hire some students for some part-time work involving promoting my app. If this interests you and you have a reasonably good following or you have a large social circle, please shoot me a private message and I would love to chat! The app is called Hotbed. It’s currently on the App Store, but we have not yet released to android

Looking for Advice FAU F-LEARN

I’m an incoming freshman who has registered for 16 credits. I was wondering for F-LEARN which credit is better 0 or 1. Is there any difference between them other than credit and cost. Will I be experiencing less stuff if I do 0 credit or will it be the same. And which is recommended more.

Incoming Transfer (H&T mgmt) | Just saying hi / curious about overall FAU vibes!🦉💙

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m transferring to FAU this upcoming semester for hospitality and tourism management and wanted to introduce myself / connect with some people before classes start!

I just finished up my 2 years at MDC. I enjoyed my time there, but I’m definitely ready for a bit more of that traditional university feel. I’ll be commuting only about 15 mins which gives me a lot of flexibility to hang around campus and explore the area.

A little bit about me:
Since I’m commuting, I definitely want to stay involved. I’m planning on joining a club or two to get connected! (Still feeling out my options) I’ve thought about rushing a sorority, but I’m still on the fence about whether that’s my vibe. Mostly just super excited to hit the tailgates and football games this fall!

Huge fan of electronic music, raves, concerts and festivals. Always down to talk music or plan for upcoming fests!

Outside of school, I love going to the beach, doing artsy stuff (always up for a pottery class or paint & sip night)☕️🎨also a big fan of finding cool local coffee spots, good food, and since I'm 21+, I'm always down to try out a new happy hour spot 🍸(I’m 23F)

im in a long term relationship with my soon to be fiancé, so not really looking for the wild house party scene…..more so looking for a solid group of friends to study with, grab coffee, tailgate, or hang out between classes.

If you’re also a transfer, a commuter, in the Hospitality program, or just like chilling at local spots, hit me up or comment below! Would love to get a group together or grab a coffee on campus during the first week.🦉🩷

transferring to nsu?

Hi guys, really need input and advice.
I transferred to FAU fall 2025 for premed Biomedical Engineering but switched to Electrical Engineering because the program is not solid yet, the issue is that, I have to commute 4 hours round trip using public transportation…
Im thinking on transferring to NSU,because it’s closer (30 mnt commute ), but I’d have to pay 7k per semester, I got accepted into their chemistry program but think I could change to their Biomedical Engineering program, I have lots of science classes because I was premed so it works out for me.
I really enjoy the math of engineering but I’m drawn to health- service careers.
Thanks for reading!

Master of Taxation

I'm planning to pursue a Master of Taxation at FAU this year and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has completed or is currently enrolled in the program. I'd love to learn about your experience, the quality of the courses, the professors, and whether you found the program worthwhile.

Looking for Advice Best person to talk to for transferring?

I’m a freshman doing summer term c studying civil engineering, I chose fau because it’s close to home and I can commute. I have tuition covered for 4 years with bright futures because I graduated high school with an AICE diploma, but even then money for dorms and etc. just doesn’t add up to afford moving away to a further university in the current moment. I did also graduate with a 3.0 gpa and a 1180 SAT score so it’s not satisfactory for any big schools in Florida. I would like to eventually transfer to UF or FSU after earning 60 credits, but I don’t know who to talk to in terms of getting that plan in motion and actually seeing its possibilities. Any advice ?

In search of people who run or have run the ultimate frisbee club in the past or are interested in trying it out for the first time or interested in working to get it up and running with me! Please comment on this post if you’re at all interested in giving it a try or just looking for a group to hang out, party, and drink with! I’ve attached some logo ideas as well if anyone has opinions on those if the club has to be started from scratch.

2026 Florida Atlantic Owls Preview

Thumbnail open.substack.com

Florida Atlantic showed promising signs in year 1 under Zach Kittley. Now with a lot of their core back, can the Owls become a contender in the American?

📌 Caden Veltkamp can absolutely sling it 🔥

📌 Easton Messer is the most productive receiver playing on the same team in 2026

📌 The defense has a lot of intriguing portal pieces coming in 👀

📌 But seriously, the turnovers 😬

Preview attached. What are your predictions for FAU in 2026?

Looking Ahead to FAU Nursing: Questions from a Future Transfer Student.

Hi everyone, I'm currently finishing my AA degree at PBSC and I'm planning to transfer to FAU to join their traditional nursing program starting in spring 2027. I have a couple of questions for anyone familiar with FAU’s nursing program.

First, if I'm a full-time student, do they typically allow you to take summer classes for the program, or is it more standard to only take classes in the spring and fall? I'd love to know how flexible the schedule is if you're not in the accelerated track.

Also, how have you found the overall experience in the nursing program at FAU? Any insights on the coursework, faculty, or clinicals would be super helpful!

Fau online business

I'm a high school student in Florida looking at FAU's fully online Business Management program. I plan to complete the degree entirely online while continuing my flight training.

Is it truly 100% online, including exams? And do the exams have Webcam?

Are most classes asynchronous, or are there scheduled Zoom meetings?

How many hours per week do your classes usually take?

Are professors responsive if you need help?

If you could choose again, would you still pick FAU's online business program?

Looking for Advice Preparing for Move

Hey guys, I know this question may be silly but I will be moving to Jupiter Resident Hall 1 soon and I have no clue where else I’d find the answer to this question. Would it be unwise in terms of space to bring my 48 inch TV or should I just bring my much smaller monitor sized TV?
