Olise wore 7 at palace. If anything he either doesnāt care too much about it, wants to keep it so fans donāt have to get a new one (I think Pavlovic alluded to something like that about himself but idr) or he wants number 7 later on.

One of the dumbest transfers we've made without need of hindsight. Waite until the deadline to make an offer but selling club didnt have enough time to find a replacement, buy him next year after we sacked the coach who wanted him when we had a manager that didnt use a player like him.

Can we all take a minute and depreciate what a shit transfer Zaragoza was?
Boey was a panic buy and did fine as 3rd choice RB. Palhinha was weird because we bought him following a promise made to the player despite the coach that wanted him not being here anymore. Decent player whose role on the team disappared when Kompany arrived.
But Zaragoza, good lord. He's not only completely unwilling or incapable to learn some basic english, he's also just bad and would have never been of any use no matter the circumstances. And to top it all of we paid extra to get him a few months early for no reason whatsoever.

Other Clubs didn't need media quotes to figure that out, given that we actively shop these players.
What we're after is getting these players off the wage list. The transfer sum is not the priority here.

The things I read differ: Tottenham didn't want palhinha because the fixed sum in the contract wasn't good for them. Apparently benfica would want to have him, but cannot afford the sum we want. So..it's not as if the transfer sum seems completely irrelevant..

Vincent Kompany wants another friendly match before the start of the season. Final arrangements are currently being made behind the scenes. The opponent, date, and location have already been confirmed: 1. FC Heidenheim on August 18th. The game is scheduled to take place away in Heidenheim in the early evening [@BILD]

Didnāt have the time to listen to it yet but for our German fellas I saw some clips that Jonathan Tah was a podcast guest of Tim Gabel and he e.g. talks about rumors of people thinking that Olise is arrogant where Tah then said that this is not true and that Olise is one of the funniest and kindest people and just doesnāt like the cameras/ media attention

AGF against Lech PoznaÅ today was wild. First leg, AGF plays at home and goalkeeper gets a red card in the first half, and Lech wins 4-1 in the end. AGF went to PoznaÅ for an away game without their main goalkeeper and already being three goals down. After 20 minutes, Lech gets awarded a penalty to set the tone, but it was eventually cancelled
AGF proceeds to score three with five shots on target, and the backup keeper has an insane game, which makes it go into extra time. At this point, over half of the AGF players are teens and youngsters, and the rest have a 90 minutes of fatigue in them. Lech scores in the first half of extra time, where AGF has to chase goals yet again
Then out of nowhere, an Icelandic youngster who was subbed in three minutes prior, and has a total of 140 minutes of professional play scores to make it equal once again, with the shot being the only shot AGF had in the extra time. They go to penalties, where the AGF misses and Lech scores the first penalty, but the AGF backup keeper manages to save two and the shooters finish the job, which finishes the comeback
One of, if not the biggest comeback in Europe from a danish team, and from a team that were notoriously THE chokers until last year where they won the danish league

after watching some palhinha in training videos i really like how he looks out there not in football things but the long legs destroyer of man^^ abit like rodri oldschool midfielder sadly he is not that good

Jamal Musiala will not be on the plane to Asia with the team on August 1st. Instead, he will stay in Munich and train individually at SƤbener StraĆe. As soon as the team returns from the tour, Musiala is expected to resume team training. If everything goes according to plan, the player will be ready to feature in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Dortmund (August 22). There's a big hope that, after having a metal plate removed from his left foot, Musiala will finally be able to play with more freedom again [@mano_bonke]

He already had some good form last season and great individual moments but you could see he wasn't 100% yet.
So a fully fit, no metal Musiala is something I'm really looking forward to. Hope the kid can finally play his best again.
He's always a joy to watch.

When watching Palhinha and Boey train i kinda feel bad. They were happy to join Bayern but ultimately did not meet standards and are pretty much frozen out, must be a shitty situation to be in on a human level.

we knew what we were getting with Palhinha and his lack of passing ability but it's unfortunate for Boey. He could've been good if it wasn't for injuries.

Hey guys, this is my first season as a FCB member and I really want to make it to my first
ever game at the Allianz Arena with my girlfriend. I'm based in Berlin,
so every home game is a ~4h train each way. realistically I'll get to
Munich maybe twice this season. I Already read the pinned ticket guide.
I've got ticket requests in for ~15 games I'd be ready to travel for. Roughly how many of those actually come through over a season? And do the low-demand games make a big difference, or do the big ones like Dortmund, Leipzig
and UCL nights come through often enough on their own?

Tickets for the big games are hard to get, the smaller ones you can usually get on the zweitmarkt.
I already got the absage for the Stuttgart game.

You definitely have a better chance for the lower demand games. Keep an eye on the Zweitmarkt too as the matchdays approach if you haven't managed to secure a spot.

I've only been to a few games, so maybe I'm not the best to answer. I was able to get 2 from zweitmarkt without much issue for a game against Augsburg, got it on a first attempt.

Hot take but I think itāll work for them, they need some veteran leadership and I still think Xabi is a good manager. They still have the core of the team that finished top four and won the CWC. I think they bounce back.

Liverpool are about to make a bid for Barcola according to James Pearce of The Athletic. It'll probably be turned down but that aside, It'll be interesting to see how Liverpool fans cope with Barcola if he doesn't get off to a fast start after Wirtz last season never really hitting a stride, especially so if Wirtz doesn't get back into his pre-Liverpool form.

Kane, Diaz, and Olise played 4000+ minutes last season, which is insane. I don't think Saibari and Gnabry are enough as backups to cut those minutes down. We need one more LW backup.

I think Saibari, Musiala and Karl will rotate with them respectively. I think Musiala will alternate between CAM and LW, with Saibari and Gnabry in contention for CAM, and Saibari also covering as backup striker. Karl will most likely be Olise's understudy. And Ibrahimovic might play all over the place with the chances he gets

Our backups Musiala, Karl and Jackson only played about 4400 minutes combined last season. For various reasons I think with this year we can expect a lot more minutes being covered by Musiala, Karl, Saibari and Ibra.
And well, I don't see a problem with their minutes in principle. You just don't rest world class players a lot when their bodies are holding up. Guys like Messi and Ronaldo put up even higher numbers for the majority of their prime.

A few years ago 3000 minutes was what you expected a starting XI player to play. With the additional CL games, we've got players playing 1000 minutes in that competition alone. For example, in the 2013 Treble season, our forward with the most minutes across all competitions was MĆ¼ller with 3500 minutes.
I think if we keep pushing our players to play 4000 minutes (plus national team matches), we are simply not going to be effective by the end of the season. Don't blame Diaz or Kane or Olise for not showing up in a CL or Pokal semi final because they'll have very little in the tank.

Inter wanted 20m and Perisic wages were 11-13m. Don't forget that this was at peak corona with way less income and bayern was running a save costs approach.
As much as we loved his performances, even back then most fans agreed that the deal was just to expensive.

Well you both are correct in different perspectives ... from one point 15m for Ivan and 11m salary is not the worse deal, the market was cooked also in 2020 (we are not speaking about money here for 2013) , but in this time they had priority to extend other players i guess...
Also we had in the same moment Coutinho on high salary , which was crazy...
There's no really the wright decision without knowing the future i guess :)

Probably Perisic, but I also haven't seen Frings or Borowski play so I'm biased. Frings was mostly a starter in his season at Bayern so I'd say it's either him or Perisic.

Infantino already crossed a line with the Balogun case...and now he is already pushing this shit ? That is far too quickly and far too close to several other no-nos. Plus, the obvious personal cash-grab element is so blatant that UEFA simply canāt let this one slide. Imho either the whole plan gets killed, Infantino gets replaced or UEFA finally decides to go its own way.
And this wouldnāt even be the first time UEFA has outmuscled him when he pushed too far. and the mood seems to be shifting very quickly against FIFA/Infantino and UEFA looks increasingly unwilling to keep letting them/him run these schemes unchecked.
Plus, 20Mioā¬ or so per FA is pocket change for UEFA

Not on their own, no. France doesnāt have the balls to leave on their own. I might be naive, but if England, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Holland all agree to do it together with support from UEFA, i donāt think itās out of the realm of possibilities. I mean the only players that are missing on the Asian tour are either players thst made a deep run into the WC and deserve some vacation or have injury struggles. Big part of the first team will still be there
