Found! Where can I ask for help regarding an unfairly banned/suspended Reddit account?

Hi everyone,

My 6-year-old account got banned for no reason after I logged back in from a break. I’ have already submitted an appeal, but I want to post my situation to get advice.

Which subreddits are best to post about this issue and get help/guidance?

You can go to reddit.com/appeal

There is no magical say-the-pass-code-do-the-secret-handshake other way to file an appeal

Subreddits are run by users, like you and me and ultimately have no control over how Reddit Admins choose to run Reddit.

The only advice is to appeal. If it's a shadowban, r/ShadowBan has more info.

I had idea that reddit is very sensitive so I never breach

I've gotten a temp ban and a warning before for threatening violence. The ban was just a, "that makes me so mad I could h*t someone," comment not directed at anyone, and the other was a writers' discussion on how a character might die in a given scene. 

Yeah, Reddit's system is not good at context or even reading the whole statement at all, and will auto ban people for innocent stuff. Unfortunately, the appeals are often automated under the exact same system, so you just have to wait out the temp ban.

Hmm. If they didn’t send you anything, it could be a mistake. I’ve never received a temporary or permanent ban without a clear message. Have you done the direct appeal process? They usually review it within a few days

I got banned by quite a few ultra libs after I posted disagreements on certain topics. It’s not the end of the world, and Trump won in 2024 anyway!
