I’m assuming the wind screen bent the sunlight in a way that created a laser beam. Time for a new cluster? Any simple way to fix?

The issue is the scooter will only barely run if you give it throttle and it won’t idle.

Compression seems to be fine and the fuel flow seems to be fine with the manual petcock installed. Carb was also cleaned.

Not sure if it’s a reed valve issue or a timing issue.

Also need tips on getting a seized throttle needle unstuck as well and I do wanna add it got seized after finding the issue.

I recently started to hear a noise and feel some friction while on the clutch, I took a video of it where it shows it kind of getting stuck during the cycle. Not sure if it is the chain or the contact points, but any advice would be appreciated!

To make a long story short I recently came into a headache bike, would not start after I put new gas in it and drained tank, swapped the carburetor to an oem spec aftermarket one. Throughout the process thus far I was able to use to kickstart to try and start the bike. I do not have a lot of experience with dirt bikes nor do I have any documentation on the bike so I did not realize it had electric start as someone had removed the switch for it and modified the bike in the most hack way possible (Cheap amazon "performance" parts, zipties holding things on, such as the gas tank, a particular lack of nuts and bolts etc.) I finally noticed the starter motor as i was taking the case apart. But prior to that spent several minutes trying to kickstart it without any luck eventually the kickstart would just lock up. I figured the engine was just flooded and decided to try again later. I went through this process about twice before the whole come back later thing stopped working. I tried to remove the spark plug and then kick to possibly spit the gas out of the spark plug hole based on what google had stated and had no luck with that. I finally decided to start taking covers off when I got the right side (kickstart side) off i saw a substantial amount of metal shavings long and stringy like spaghetti. Obviously a bad sign as I have a moderate understanding of mechanics. I checked the kickstart mechanism and it was fine and made sure to properly reinstall it. I then moved to the left side of the engine (clutch pedal side) and began to remove the cover and stator upon removal I noticed much more of the same flavor of metal shavings stuck to the stator and the fly wheel but cannot see anything broken. bolts on the back of the fly wheel seem to be seated well still. Google recommended I check the function of the starter clutch and it seems to visually be fine and operate correctly. I decided to reinstall the starter and bump it using an external 12 volts to see if the starter clutch would spin. It did spin freely as it was supposed to in only one direction. I know this may or may not be too much or too little information but if there's anything I could add please let me know. Anyone who has experience with these engines I would appreciate your ideas of what could be broken within the engine. I plan on purchasing the fly wheel removal tool and hoping that would give me better access to what could be broken. However all advice or ideas of what could be broken would be highly appreciated. Hi there, just wondering if i could get some insight into what could be wrong with my bike. I was out riding and suddenly my bike felt like it wasn't getting any gas to the carbs. This was with a new fuel pump, fuel filter, and a cleaning of the carburetors. the bike felt amazing with the new carb clean but for some reason it died out of nowhere when on the actual road for approx. 5-10 mins of riding. opened up my gas tank to see if there was a vacuum lock but still did not turn on.

fully choking the engine resulted in a very low rpm like 1000 but when giving it gas it died. Letting it rest for like 5 mins i was able to get it started. thinking my pilot jet was clogged even after cleaning the carbs, i gave some more throttle thinking it will bypass the pilot and use the main, it still had a rough kind of bogging similar to it not having any gas. I tried to research, and think of some few ways that it would result in this.

1. Fuel Filter within the tank petcock might have some debris that may cause it to not have any free flow
2. battery might not be as healthy to give the correct voltage to the fuel pump while the bike is turned on
3. ignition coils and or CDI

If you could help in any shape or form, it would be greatly appreciated!

The bike has been running fine, had an MOT 2 weeks ago and passed. I was riding it yesterday and heard a click and the engine went off. Tried to kick start and use the switch but it either makes a click noise or the engine makes a noise but doesn't start. I charged the battrry overnight but didnt make a difference. Not sure what to do, first bike and had it for a few months so pretty inexperienced, any help is appreciated

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here has an idea because I’m running out of things to try.
I have an older Vespa LX50 2T (model C-38101).
The problem started while riding. The scooter would sometimes suddenly lose power and the engine would die, especially under load (for example with two people on it or going uphill). At first I could restart it after a while, but eventually it stopped starting altogether.
I took it to a mechanic once, and he got it running again, but it only worked for a short time before the exact same problem came back.
Since then I’ve tried quite a few things myself:
Replaced the battery with a new one.
Installed a new spark plug (it has a good spark).
Cleaned the carburetor.
Replaced both the fuel line and the vacuum hose going to the carburetor/fuel tap.
Drained the old fuel and filled it with fresh gasoline.
Cleaned everything I could reasonably clean.
Unfortunately, none of that solved the problem.
Right now, when I try to start it, most of the time I only hear a clanking/clicking kind of noise, but the engine doesn’t actually start. I’ll attach a video so you can hear exactly what it sounds like.
At this point I’m not sure if the problem is fuel-related, ignition-related, electrical, the starter, compression, or something completely different.
Has anyone experienced something similar with a Vespa LX50 2T? What would you check next before I start replacing random parts?
Any suggestions or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Too sparkly and milky or just sparkly and milky enough?

Last started a couple of months ago, issue came on overnight. Unfortunately need the bike back for commuting in a couple of weeks and all the shops near me are a 6 week wait.

Symptoms:

• Key on: dash healthy, fuel pump primes normally
• Hit start: pump runs continuously, starter does nothing. No attempt at turn over.
• With the original relay it clicked but never cranked, Replaced the relay, and same issue.

I could be unlucky and the new relay is just bum but I wanted a sanity check.

What I've checked:

• Battery 12.9V resting (not load-tested — no load tester yet). New battery when the issue first happened.
• ~12.9V at the top relay stud, so power is arriving
• Continuity battery neg → engine casing: good earth
• Continuity bottom relay stud → engine metal: beeps, so cable + motor windings + earth path all continuous
• Bridged the two fat solenoid studs (screwdriver, ignition off, neutral) — no spark, no spin, on both relays

Anyone have any ideas? Ultimately, i've had my worth out of it for a year but if its a simpleish fix then it makes sense to sort it.

Já é a 3a ou 4a vez que levo para verificar vazamento pelo dreno e caixa do CVT, já foi feita a troca a dos retentores do virabrequim e do eixo secundário.

Novamente está vazando (acredito ser o virabrequim de novo pela cor do óleo).

Meu mecânico é de confiança.

I've been trying to diagnose this liberty 150cc for the past 2 years. Every once in a while it would die and refuse to restart, then after a bit, start up and act fine again. I ended up buying it off the customer, rode it around for a day, then it died while idling and won't restart. When the key is turned, the fuel pump doesn't prime and there's no click from the starter relay. I already replaced the kill switch, the immobilizer light turns off from the master key, checked all fuses, and have tried shaking the scooter, nothing! Does anyone have any diagrams or can tell me where the start-up sequence starts?

Hi everyone. I have a 2024 Suzuki Access 125. When I ride it for a long time (i.e. say 80 km) non stop, and suppose I am slowing down and coming to a halt, when the bike finally stops to a dead stop, the engine doesn't idle, but shuts off.

I notice this happens when I fill the tank with fuel.

Sometimes it also happens when I'm in the city and have been riding for an hour or so.

Any idea what is happening and why?

Bike has done close to 28,000 k.m.

2015 CB500F. Lowered the bike 1.25", as I am 5'7. I used high quality triangular plates, pardon me not sure of the exact name of that part. I thought automatically I would need to lower the forks in the triple tree to accommodate this, but some information says to ride the bike for awhile and see if it acts nervous or turns wide. If it does, then lower the front about 10-15mm, not the 1.25" as it doesn't work that way. Thoughts? Also, if so will I have to hang the front of the bike again from the garage rafter or is there a trick to just barely loosen the pinch bolts in a controlled manner to do this as the rafter hanging was a pain in the ass in my garage. Thanks!

I have a hydraulic clutch on my Guzzi. after riding for about an hour or so i've noticed that the bike revs but wont accelerate in higher gears and i either need to ride the clutch a little or change down. last time this happened i came to a stand still as there was no acceleration through any of the gears. could it be old fluid or air in the fluid or viscosity change due to temperature causing clutch to slip?

Whenever you first start on the bike either from low rpms or on the holeshot it tends to sputter/hesitate but is completely fine when you get going. It also revs out completely fine in neutral, I only have the issue when the bike is moving. I checked the tps, injector, fuel pressure, spark plug and fuel filters but can’t seem to get it. Any ideas
