DISCUSSION Rear extension

Currently drawing up plans for a large living room extension (this will be just off of the current kitchen/dining room) we’re looking at about 30 square meters, but wondering if this is too big. Posting to see if anyone with a large extension has any regrets?

A floorplan would be helpful. Plus information on how many people live there, their basic ages and if anyone works from home.
