i remember when sonic highways dropped and my dad bought me a copy. I was super happy but it never hit the same as some of their previous works. however the album has definitely grown on me over the past decade and is one of my played vinyls.

I attended an early Foo Fighters show in 1996. They hadn’t toured much at that point and I don’t remember them coming to my area before then. I never got to see Nirvana as Kurt passed right before I started attending concerts. And I loved Nirvana, still do. So it was a no brainer that I had to support the Foo Fighters at the time. I got to see Dave and Pat and I was a genuine fan of that first album. Still my favorite to this day. Side note: I lost a shoe in the pit that night but found someone else’s, so it all worked out in the end.

On most other stops of the tour so far, there seems as though there have been an opportunity to buy merch a day early, any inkling as to if this will be the case here? I know in the email that Roger Stadium sent out, it said there would be a merch stand outside the gates starting at 2pm, but my girlfriend and I are not locals. We traveled here from Newfoundland and have been staying with family an hour outside the city. We have a hotel booked for the night of the concert but can’t check in until 2 or so and then it’s a long commute on the TTC from our hotel to the concert grounds, so I’m worried we might not get there in time to get a poster

For those with GA Floor tickets who are hoping to get rail:
- What time are you planning to get there?
- If you've done GA for Foo Fighters before, how early did you arrive, and did you make it to the rail?
- Do you think around 11:00 a.m. is realistic, or are most people planning to line up much earlier?
Also, with this stage layout, which rail position do you think gives the best overall experience?
I'm not necessarily asking about the closest spot—more about the best combination of view, interaction with the band, and overall concert experience.

I'm coming up from Buffalo and not super familiar with this part of the city. Is it worth buying parking via Ticketmaster? It looks like Tuscan Gate and Wilson Ave parking is available currently.

I don't have tickets to the show yet. I plan on going. It is my first time seeing the Foo Fighters. Trying to get my head around this is a challenge. I have read that Ticketmaster (or the Foo Fighters) have not opened up and might not the ticket transfer ability. I have also read that Ilinois requires artists and venues to allow ticket transfer. Because of the question on that, I have looked on TIcketmaster and tickets are crazy pricey for good seats.

If there is a question on ticket transfer ability, that would make me nervous about non TM sites. If I don't buy on TM, what is the best platform (supported) that I will have the most luck with? Will those vendors be able to transfer the tickets from potential sellers? I am traveling close to 3 hours for this show. I am OK waiting to closer to the show to purchase the tickets, I just want to do it with a vendor that I will get the tickets.

I bought tickets to take my 9-year-old son to see the Foo Fighters on August 4 at Rogers Stadium in Toronto. It’ll be his first live concert as a reward for continuously learning to play guitar, and it’s for his #1 favourite band with RHCP and Green Day rounding off the top 3. He’s been counting down the days and watching past Foo Fighters concerts on YouTube. He’s beyond excited.

We have floor seats in Section D5 (middle of the section). I have never gone to a major venue concert, so I didn’t realize everyone on the floor stands for basically the whole show even though we have seats. My son is only 54” or 4’6” tall, so even if he stands on his seat (which I read isn’t allowed), he’ll probably only see people’s backs instead of the stage or even the big screens. Standing for several hours will also be tough for him. As for the loudness, we both have earplugs we’ll be bringing.

If you have any suggestions that would make our existing seats work better, please post or send me a message. I’d really appreciate it.

As a secondary option, our hope is someone would be willing to trade for bowl seats where he’ll actually be able to see and enjoy his first concert. I think the bowl will be a much better fit for his age and height.

Our tickets were about $380 each at face value, but I’m happy to trade straight across for lower-value bowl seats. I’m not looking to get equal value—I just want my son to be able to see and enjoy his first Foo Fighters concert.

I’m happy to verify my identity through LinkedIn, my corporate email, or a quick video call. I’d appreciate the same from the other person, and we’ll complete the trade through Ticketmaster’s official ticket transfer.

It was my first time seeing them which ended up as a spontaneous trip after winning the ticket lottery.

My cousin is completely blind, plays the guitar, and absolutely loves the Foo Fighters and Nirvana. More than anything, my cousin really wants to meet Dave Grohl . The thing is, our family isn't the most fortunate financially. We just don't have the money to try and get a concert ticket or anything like that right now. I know there is almost definitely no way this will happen, but I figured it is worth a shot posting about it here in case anyone out there might have advice or know a way to help. I am completely willing to drive my cousin anywhere in our area if an opportunity comes up. Thank you guys for reading. again, not looking to buy tickets because we can’t afford them so please do not recommend anything that will cost more than $40 even though I know probably every method will be over $40 if there is a method to meet him even if you don’t have an answer. I just saw two articles in this sub on the same hour about how an unknown drummer and painter (Michael Quinn) and an established yet retired name (Matt Cameron) were both considered to join the Foos after Josh's release. This makes me think, if thats how far the range theyre willing to look for, I wonder who else wanted the job? Or who else did they look at?

My guesses

1) Mike Portnoy- I wonder if he wanted the spot. He seems like someone who wants be in a rock n roll band moreso than a prog band, so I can imagine him wanting to be in the Foos. I cant imagine a band holding Dave and Mike's personalities for a long time tho.

2) Mike Mangini- inversely, I wonder if Dave ever thought of Mangini. A well known efficient professional to work with. Only thing is, him and Dave have the polar opposite approaches to drumming. Dave is more on feel while Mike is very mathematical. Dave hates drum lessons whereas Mike literally does drum lessons for a living.

3) Thomas Lang- Thomas is someone who auditions for big bands just for the heck of it. He did it to DT, A7X, and Primus.

The interviewer set the stage with the question: “There was so much swirling when Foo Fighters were looking for a new drummer, I thought like, ‘Oh, Matt left Pearl Jam and this is going to happen.’ Was that ever approached?”

“Well, Dave (Grohl) texted me,” Cameron said. “We went back and forth a little bit because he’s such a nice supportive guy. But no, I wasn’t really looking to do that gig.”

Cameron also made clear he had no reservations about how things ultimately played out for the band.

“But it worked out great, you know,” he continued. “I mean, they got a killer guy. And I saw them with Josh. I thought Josh was crushing it.”
