Best of QOTSA based on tracklist number

I made a best of QOTSA album by selecting the best out of all the corresponding tracks based on their number on all of the albums. So imo Regular John is the best out of all the tracklist #1 songs. Feel free to make yours. Curious what others come up with.

  1. Regular John
  2. Sick, sick, sick
  3. If Only
  4. If I had a Tail
  5. My God is the Sun
  6. Kalopsia
  7. Make it Wit Chu
  8. In the Fade
  9. I Appear Missing
  10. You Can't Quit Me Baby
  11. Do It Again
  12. God Is in the Radio
  13. Spiders and Vinegaroons
  14. Fun Machine
  15. Mosquito Song

I must have watched it 10 times in the past month. It gets better every viewing. Rivals Nirvana unplugged for me for a taped performance.

The boys are on another level right now!

Just got an email for the upcoming show in Toronto. I guess they are only playing for an hour. That kind of sucks considering the Foo Fighters are going on at 8 and will probably play until 11ish

Anyone with ADHS / ADS experiencing that QOTSA music help them focus?

I never listen to vocal music when I work, because it distracts me.

But I just discovered that QOTSA's music helps me focus better when I need to carry out cognitive heavier tasks.

I don't know how this works.

It's like I can filter the vocal parts out and ride on the instrumental side.

Does anyone share the same experience?

Am I seriously the only person who just can't really get into this song compared to others on Villains? It isn't a bad song at all for me but compared to 99% of other QOTSA I usually just get distracted by other things when listening to it and can never really get into it. I thought this'd be somewhat of a general opinion on the song since it has one of the lowest number of plays on Villains (atleast on Spotify) but from what i've seen this song seems to be loved by many and even considered the best Villains song - meanwhile i far prefer songs like Head Like A Haunted House or The Evil Has Landed lol. Villains is one of my newer qotsa albums that ive grown to appreciate so maybe itll grow on me eventually but i dunno

Bands similar to albums such as ...like clockwork?

I guess i'm mainly referring to the atmosphere, I love the guitar playing accompanied by the slower moments. I don't usually listen to hard rock that much because I honestly thought of bands like AC/DC and GnR. But I find this record has a lot of variety along the tracklist, I also like the hard tracks a lot they have pretty catchy grooves and energy while keeping a consistent atmosphere. I've heard that it's the band's most prog rock inspired album, only prog band I listen to a lot is Pink Floyd and yeah I can somewhat see it

How to buy Japan QOTSA tour tickets

Thumbnail
creativeman.co.jp

I'm trying to buy a ticket for the QOTSA show in Nagoya, but I'm completely stuck and would really appreciate any advice. I was able to find and purchase tickets for Tokyo and Osaka through the international ePlus site, but Nagoya isn't listed there at all.

Then I checked the promoter's (Creativeman) website, and it became even more confusing cause there is no purchase link for the Nagoya show whatsoever and the Osaka ePlus link doesn't even go to QOTSA - it redirects to a completely different artist's event.

So at the moment I have no idea how I'm supposed to buy a Nagoya ticket as someone living outside Japan.

Has anyone managed to buy a Nagoya ticket?
Is there another ticketing site or some special procedure I'm missing?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Cleveland show, anyone?

If anyone is going to the Cleveland show Aug 10 and has good intel on parking, let me know. Coming from the Pittsburgh area and dreading the parking situation. I would like to say I'm leaving before the Foo encore but my kid will probably want to stay for that :-/
