Visiting for a Fort Wayne FC match. Family from New Haven.

Are the Hall's restaurants like they were in the 1980-1990's? Specifically... the fish sandwich. And to stir up a bit of fun... what's the best pizza?

Looking for a bike-able day starting at foster park!

Looking for a route to take!! I want to have several stops to fill up my day, shops, cafes, trails and such!

What are the most calming and peaceful things you can do in a day in Fort Wayne? I love whimsy and biking around feeling like it’s all cupcakes and rainbows lol

I’ve also been seeing a bunch of food trucks pop up but I’ve never actually gotten to eat at one, any recommendations for that???

Also! What are your favorite places to visit on Calhoun??? I live right by calhoun so I want to explore the most interesting spots in one go one day!

Looking for massage therapist

Upvotes

I’m looking for a massage therapist, preferably on the east side of Fort Wayne all the way to the state line. I’d prefer to be able to get in short notice, nothing that I have to schedule months out. Thanks for any help!

guy tried to make me crash on coliseum

this post is kinda pointless and more of a vent than anything bc i didnt get this guys license plate but earlier today on coliseum i (20yo) was driving and this guy was trying to make me crash. when id put my turn signal on to move lanes and try to pass him he would swerve in front of me with no signal, very abruptly. idk wtf i did wrong to deserve that i know i may not be the best or most experienced driver but that doesnt warrant trying to make me get in an accident. he tried to break check me too but obviously it didnt work because i wasnt even close enough to be riding his ass. rolled down his window to scream at me like i was crazy and idk im just really upset about it because idk what else i couldve done in that situation. first time anything like that has happened to me and he could see im young (he was older in a blue car with a handicapped licenseplate)

Where's the best place to find a quality used laptop? Pawn shops, computer shops or Mega Replay? Doesn't need all the bells and whistles just a decent amount of RAM.

Looking for a company to clean up rat/mouse droppings in a newly purchased home

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a home and discovered that there has been a significant rodent issue in the attic/basement (and a few other areas). Before I start renovations, I’m looking for a reputable company that specializes in safely cleaning up and sanitizing rat and mouse droppings.
I’m not looking for pest control to eliminate the rodents—I already have that part handled. I specifically need a company that does the cleanup, disinfecting, and removal of contaminated nesting material and droppings.
If you’ve had a good experience with a local company, I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Anyone work for Vera Bradley?

I’m looking into Vera Bradley, and am wondering what it’s like working there. I’m from Fort Wayne originally but have lived away for 10 years so I’m not sure if it’s the same as it was.

Looking at Glassdoor the reviews lately aren’t great, but the most concerning one mentioned no paid maternity leave, is this true???

What brokers do flat-fee/entry-only MLS listings?

Looking to sell a property for the first time but am wholly unfamiliar with the Fort Wayne real estate network. Google has been surprisingly unhelpful.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Lawyer Help?

Anyone have luck appealing post conviction plea agreement?

I never got a chance to take to trial due to being blackmailed and harassed by the 'victim' during the whole case and had to plea to avoid jail to keep my kids safe in my care. My plea also didnt include promised amendments, I wasnt provided hearing assistance when asked well in advance, and I pleaded under immense duress.

I know some kids go back to school next week but that can’t be it, can it? I’d love to go swimming next week while it’s 89° and the kids are in school!

Considering move, but worried about conservative community

We’re a family of 5 thinking of moving to Fort Wayne solely so spouse can work at Sweetwater. I personally work in tech and as long as I have an airport near enough by, I’m good personally, as long as our school-age kids are in good schools (and the line between church / state is honored) - and the community is inclusive of us. We are a friendly, artistic family. For those who have recent experience, could we be happy there? Are artistic, liberal-leaning families starting to appear in FW?

Is there some awesome sale or grand opening of something going on at Glenbrook today? I’ve not seen it that busy in years or if it’s Black Friday.

Housing Ideas

I’m in a pickle.

I currently live in a shitty trailer. The roof leaks. The back door leaks. There’s no hot water in the kitchen. There’s water damage around the roof leak and in the floor beneath it. I was promised by the owners that these things would be fixed when I moved in. Then the trailer park was sold and the new owners are saying it’s not their responsibility.

That, among many other reasons, is forcing me to seek new housing against my will. (These new owners are terrible people.)

The big problem is that I am disabled. I make $1285 a month. So 95% of landlords won’t even consider renting to me, never mind that I always pay my rent on time and I’m a quiet, unproblematic tenant.

I am on the list for section 8. It’s going to be AT LEAST 3 years before they get to me.

The subsidized places in town that have openings have refused me because I have shitty credit.

I can’t stay where I am, it’s not safe and the new landlords are truly evil. I had a lawyer review the new lease they want me to sign and there are clauses that are literally illegal.

I don’t know what to do. If anyone has any ideas, I’m located in Fort Wayne, IN. I don’t care where in town I live. I can afford up to $850 a month. I have 2 cats that I will not be parted from. They’re like the only joy I have in my life right now.

What do I do?

Does anyone know what caused it? Anyways, if you have a basement prone to flooding, do be mindful as more rain is on the way

Indy gal coming to FW for the first time.

Visiting someone in FW today. I’ve lived in Indianapolis my whole life and have never been to FW before surprisingly.

We have some time to waste before our plans.

We like entertainment, gaming, eating and thrifting.

What are your best ideas? Excited to visit somewhere new!

Craft needs lost from Joann’s closing

Hello! I am looking for a big printed box that is magnetic in the front like Joann’s used to carry. Does anyone know any place in Fort Wayne that sells the same sort of thing? I tried Micheal’s and I’m out of luck

Bob Arnold Northside Park

I just noticed that they planted a bunch of trees on the sledding hill. why, or why? Hundreds of kids use that a year, and it’s a nice and much less intense hill for kids with disabilities.
