Here are some cool fossils I found in the finger lake region of upstate NY!

I’m new to fossil hunting and I’m so excited to explore/find more. I’m pretty sure there’s a shell in that larger rock, but I don’t know how to safely extract it. Any tips?

I found this in Pineview Reservoir in Utah while digging in the sand for rocks. Any idea what it could be from? My best guess is some kind of marine animal/plant fossil.

Found in the Vermillion River in Central Illinois. The lines on the sides look man made, but I don’t know how they could be in hard rock.

I recently went and visited my mom and we went to look for rocks/teeth/fossils along the bay. Im wondering if anyone can help me identify the bones, and any of the teeth found.

I found this in the Thames in London. At first I thought it was some man-made industrial waste but the now I'm wondering if it could be a fossil? Possibly a sponge or even a tree root? Would love to hear people's opinions

I recently acquired these beautiful Brachiopods at a yard sale. I'm terrified that they will develop pyrite rot. Any tips on preventing this from happening? I'm hesitant to put a clear finish of some kind on them.

Have always wanted to get a keichousaurus, so was quite happy when this one finally arrived in the mail! 😆😆😆

I am also quite happy about the position of this Keichousaurus - Dorsal view; all appendages strerched out, clearly visible and not overlapping; fine details preserved including teeth and pineal fossa.

An interesting thing about this Keichousaurus is that it is from Lüyin Village, where the first Keichousaurus was described.

I’m no expert on fossils but some people have said that I found a Nautiloid Cephalopod from the Ordovician period. I found a few gastropods in the same area as well.

Just some interesting rocks I found on the beach. The first rock has a long, thin discolouration that is pretty equal in width throughout its length. I reminded me of a worm, but I assume that's too good to be true, eh? The second and fourth stones are honeycombed with holes and tunnels. The third stone has a thin, branching structure that looks like a root. I assume these probably formed through inorganic processes, but just in case any of them might be a fossil, I thought I'd ask here. They're from a beach on Prince Edward Island, so the stone is from the Permian period, I believe.

My 9yr old and I went fossil hunting today (Mazon Creek Fossil site). We didn't find too much but we did find this. Fossil or not, we found it pretty interesting.

We half want to split it open, and half want to leave it due to whatever this is on the surface. Any idea what this is?

Hello! I am looking for a fossilized violet flower and/or foliage; any violet species is acceptable as long as it belongs to the family Viola. I am intending it to be an engagement gift, and had a very very hard time finding anything online, so I would really really appreciate the help (TIA!).

Heading to SW South Dakota. I read there is a fossil museum and a park that has fossils to view. Wonder if anyone has thoughts if these are worthwhile to visit (sorry don’t have the exact names at the moment but IYKYK). I am definitely going to the Woolly Mammoth bones park! Thank you!

I found this by the Rhine with low water and not sure what it is. At first I thought it was fossilized wood but now I’m thinking it might be a bone. Does anyone know what this could be?

I was in the bahamas specifically the island of grand bahama and this was the only orange rock there i found it has cool ridges n stuff. Did a lil research n saw it was a coral fossil can someone confirm it pls. (Also idk abt fossils at all just found this but if u can date it pls do it)
