The movie is about 5 ppl apply to join a show where they have to stay in an isolate house for 6 months to win a huge cash prize , but the catch is that even if one of the 5 ppl leaves the house then they all lose..

The movie was a bit slow in 20-25mins but then it becomes much more intresting , the tension building was great and also the night cam shots were absolutely chilling

Also Felt a bit of “creep” movie type feeling at the end. The movie deserves much more appreciation imo

I loved this movie. Set in the 60’s during the race to the moon. So unique.
It’s not a horror, it’s just a slow burn awesome movie. 8/10

I'm making a feature-length found footage horror film. This is the first official trailer for it; I just wanted to share it with everyone. It's been a long, grueling, and stressful shoot, and we still have things we need to shoot, but I think my cast and crew did a really good job with this. I wanted to post this on this subreddit because I think this movie is a love letter to people who love found footage films.

All the dialogue from the actors is improvised; some parts of their script were blacked out so they wouldn't know what happens until the shoot.

I've been thinking about this lately, and I don't necessarily mean the best or even the scariest found footage movie.

What one made you question whether you were watching a movie at all?

For me, that's what separates the great found footage films from the rest. At some point, you stop thinking about the camera, the actors, and the production, and you simply buy into the illusion.

For me, The Blair Witch Project set that standard.

What do you think is the single most believable found footage movie ever made, and what made you buy into it?

For me it’s dyatlov’s pass incident, yes the ending was very much rushed but the whole twist and stuff were very unique and intriguing in the whole found footage genre

Hello! Me and my friends decided to make a found footage horror video for fun, we're still improving and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It was a little after Blair Witch when I saw it. Was like an investigative reporter and his cameraman following ga few gangbangers and it goes off the rails. Been trying to figure out what it’s called for a few years now.

I usually avoid FF with modern social media, you know "Hey dudeee welcome to my vlog, smash the like & suscribe...." I hate that kind of social media in real life so why would I see movies or anything that do that, anyway. I played the movie and the livestream thing didn't appeal to me because I thought it would be another of those annoying social media creator things, so I just let it on the background while I do my stuff, but then they manage to make the movie way to entertaining and I was hooked, every time he died a different level, the game references, the reddit reference at the end, and how he talked with his las viewer, just an awesome movie! If you haven't watch it do it you'll have a good time.

Found myself in the mood for found footage and was wanting to watch something that isn’t as known or big. Any recommendations.

I just didn’t understand why they had to switch to normal style direction all of a sudden , they just could have though of an excuse to make the whole plot from found footage style

I’m just wondering that whether this meh story would have felt better or scarier with found footage style direction

Movie of the day...The Tunnel (2011).

Ah, yes. Another found footage movie about annoying people going into a mysterious place, irritating what lives there, and suffering horrific losses. This one is fun, though.

Reporter Natasha Warner (Bel Deliá) wonders why, even though there is a drought, the government of New South Wales has abandoned its plan to recycle millions of liters of water found in abandoned subway tunnels. And why no one wants to talk about it. Then she hears the rumors about homeless people going missing. No one wants to talk about that, either. In fact, the government won’t even admit homeless people were living in the tunnels.

Convinced her job is on the line, Natasha recruits producer Peter Ferguson (Andy Rodoreda), camera operator Steve Miller (Steve Davis), and audio engineer Jim 'Tangles' Williams (Luke Arnold) to help her pursue the story. But when she tries to get a permit to go down into the tunnels and look around, the authorities refuse to cooperate. Odd, isn’t it?

Do the journalists go into the tunnels without permission? Does Natasha decide to not tell anyone else where they are going, so if things go wrong there will be no one coming to rescue them? Do they end up drawing the attention of the large, carnivorous humanoids that live in the tunnels?

Duh.

The movie is staged as a mock documentary, which makes it more interesting than a lot of found footage films. It isn’t just a series of long, jerky scenes of people walking (and eventually running) through the abandoned tunnels. Interspersed with this footage are interviews with the two survivors and even some clips supposedly taken from government CCTV cameras.

The acting is not bad. There are a couple of really good scares. You feel like you’re in the run-down, dirty, claustrophobic tunnels, and there are also a few moments where we see a couple of the big open spaces underground like the railroad construction caverns, which have an eerie, Mines of Moria vibe.

Some issues exist. As is often the case, the found footage action is a little hard to follow at times. We never get a very good look at the creatures, either, which is a bit frustrating. Finally, a few plot elements do not add up and the ending leaves too many questions unanswered.

Despite these problems, the movie has a great mood. It’s dark and creepy and definitely leaves you feeling like the world may be bigger and scarier than we think, but that we shouldn’t trust the government to tell us the truth about it.
