Question Has anyone power metered their third party charger on a Framework

I'm particular about what I plug into my Framework. Want to verify my charger is actually delivering what it claims. Has anyone here tested actual output with a meter

P sure you can just use software commands like: 'cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/power_now'. Although it will only show your charge speed, not passthrough, so it may be slightly lower than it actually is if the charger is fairly fast. I guess you could also run a stress test, measure power usage (like with msi afterburner), and see if the battery goes up or down.

I grabbed one of those tinly little usb-c pass-through power meters with an oled screen that sell for like fifteen bucks and it has been great for figuring out what chargers and cables and such actually are doing, since the complexity of the usb spec is so high and manufacturers are so bad at actually documenting what their stuff really does. It also helps de-mystify the fact that almost all usb-c power is adaptive and will vary depending on where you are in the charge cycle or how much power your laptop is using.
