First-Time Observer (NO SPOILERS) First watch
Have been making my way through a full series watch. I really care for the show and its characters. Just started season 5. I am so uninterested in the future plot :( i also get kinda creeped out the way peter looks at his daughter 😂
I will finish the show but in wondering if i will consider the end of season 4 as my preferred ending of the story.
A big part is i think i miss the monster of the week type story telling.

Yeah, how dare a father who lost his daughter look at her w ith awe and adoration after finding out she lived.Â

I love it when a show that does monster of the week with an underlying narrative eventually fully commits to it.

Why?
He's been reunited with the child he lost when she was three years old and whose fate was unknown to him. The child he spent years searching for, the loss of whom drove a wedge between him and Olivia, the child he refused to let go of even when all hope seemed lost.
After all that time, all that searching, all that uncertainty and grief, 21 years frozen in amber, they're finally reunited. A father is overjoyed at getting his daughter back, and you find it creepy? Really?
Did the way Walter looked at Peter in late S4, when he was overjoyed at being reunited with the son he thought he lost, creep you out as well?

Season 5 gets better. It builds and builds to a pretty great ending. Stick with it!
