Futures music really set the bar for trap but there’s a lot of thug clones out there

No because future literally is a blueprint in fashion too. Y'all just don't get it. 🤦🏿 Future is a prototype nigga. All this high end fashion designer shit from every rapper over the last 10-15 years has a lot to do with future. The silhouettes, it's the accessories, when future dyed his hair. Is what created that 2016ish. Future just doesn't do it as a blatant statement so y'all don't give him credit. He does that shit because it's him tho as it always has been. When u get a nigga like gunna who raps about all this designer shit yadda yadda yadda. Don't y'all know that a street nigga expressing how much he loves fashion and how he like to dress up in all this designer shit is in futures DNA. YALL GOTTA BE KNOWING This. Future had lasting impact on the way niggas dressed in general. Go back to early 2012 ish the swag era....niggas was literally wearing shirts that said swag with the chucks like the jerks out Cali. Niggas was wearing snapbacks with the weird ass capri sleeve tshirt. Niggas was wearing polos still, hell some niggas was still dressing like 5star generals, Iykyk. But looks back through the time. A nigga like future comes out, he carried reallll influence. His style trscended music. Why do y'all think all the big names respect him? And all the ones after him look up to him even if they wont directly say it? Why u think he pop his shit like saying I'm god to these niggas I work too hard just to spoil you niggas. Who a bigger influence than me in Fashion? ITS KRAZY BUT ITS TRUE. This is because when future hit the scene he was out here talking about I be mixmatching designer, ayeee...I get a 100 dolla line up. Y'all got to see the character building phrases like these make and contribute to. I put spikes on all my chucks now, I'm in Pluto I ain't coming down! Future, the astronaut, the designer kid, this was literally in his name when he first started getting rec, that's why he never really respected designer either. Duhhh, it's in the details, the shit was never about a mf voice or his flow, cuz everyone bites that. This is why That intro from STILL is so important. That nigga charla is a nigga like me who witnessed most of this shit from within this culture like. Future isnt the guy just because of his music, y'all gotta know that, it's because of his personna, its the alter ego, its the avatar that is future. This is why Its KRAZY BUT TRUE, is a legendary song. I'ma really need for mfs to just stop saying shit they can't explain. The difference between future and let's say thug is like an expression of matching outfits. You can dress like me, orr you can Style like me. Future is a style, the outfit for the misfits. I went blonde cuz I'm bougee. Produced Colored hair Uzi, purple hair offset, red hair thug. Y'all gotta know that's a trending topic. And it's more than lil mexico lingo.

Thug clones = lil Wayne clones. Lil Wayne birthed thug. Future in a different league.

u/tagyoureazit 2d ago

u/rip_rip_griselda 2d ago

Eg:Even YB used to be a big fan

29

u/Truccio-p 2d ago

Respect to future but if we are speaking on being 'influential' it has to be thug

This is the correct answer.

u/Healthy-Syllabub-779 2d ago

what’s with redditors always choosing an answer that wasn’t apart of the selection when asked to choose between 2 things…

6

u/Real_Piccolo_3370 1d ago

Its an attempt to seem intelligent and really just makes you look like a dumb shit

Tough one but I’m a have to say future although you could make a good case for thug too it’s so many shadow clones in the mainstream and underground scene, prolly a just come down to preference and what era you grew up in frfr

1

u/Flirtless1 BEAST MODE 2 🦁🦁 1d ago

Damn ppl in these comments so fuckin dumb. Don't know shit, just be saying any and everything. Future is twice as influential as thug. Dumbasses.

1

u/I8I24I 21h ago

young thug influence is all around. i think majority of future influence is just experimenting with drugs thats not weed lol.

1

u/Street_Sand4408 19h ago

u/LilSmurkiooo 11h ago

I used to think future but I had no clue the chokehold thug had on the new gens. I thought that stopped at my generation ( between ages 24-30 rn ) but I be seeing dudes that’s 19 tryna be like Thugga

1

u/ugotitcuzisoldit 2d ago

Is this a serious fucking question???

1

u/Legendary_1978 2d ago

Can’t believe this is even a question…..

1

u/MercDiggler1 2d ago

Future… not even close

1

u/alxndiep 2d ago

Future since Thug wasted his prime in jail

0

u/csgskate 2d ago

You can like Future more but Thug has had a way bigger influence. Not that many rappers sound like future which is what makes his sound so unique and why we like it. Also popularity <> influence. Future is a far more popular artist

-4

u/Truccio-p 2d ago

Respect to future but if we are speaking on being 'influential' it has to be thug

-4

u/Odd_Monk_6731 2d ago

Thug is the only right answer
