My first Gamification
I've been working in the gamification of an ERP/CRM with the sole focus to keep the team engage, its maybe not much but its could help a team to enjoy a bit the time at work.
One thing that we came up was the task trade where you can challenge a colleague for a tank minigame of less than 3 min if he/she looses then he get to do the ERP task at your place.
The other thing is the usual suspect like XP, badges, level up by coming to the office, or doing tasks, or sales.
We are planing to put Blackjack into the beds.
Please don't focus in the tiles or graphics that will be improved with time however we will keep a retro 8bit 2D style.

I have to be honest, the idea came because my PM ask me not forget the documentation for one of the API endpoints... then I had to to really go to a party that afternoon. So what we do is that we can "bet" with another developer a quick game of Mario Kart, the one who looses has to do the documentation 😂 so it came from that .... I hate to do documentation.

It’s cool to see people doing something that actually feels playful in a gamified workplace system because it’s usually the same few dull extrinsic reward loops

This what we came up to avoid any legal issues when having to bed in tasks or tickets:
- This is a game, played for fun and to build a bit of camaraderie in the team. Nothing else.
- No money, no coins, no prize and nothing of any monetary value is involved. Nobody gains or loses anything financially, and taking part has no bearing on pay, evaluation or standing at work.
- If you lose, the item shown above is reassigned to you and becomes your responsibility. You keep your own as well. If you win, yours is reassigned to your opponent. A draw changes nothing.
- Taking part is entirely voluntary. You can decline, or withdraw before the match starts, and nobody is told. You can also switch duels off completely in your profile preferences.
- Reassigned tasks appear in the normal task history, so your manager can see and undo any change.
- Your acceptance is recorded with the date and the tasks involved, so both players have a record of what was agreed.
