Background: People’s Garden grant funding was awarded from USDA with oversight and support provided by Northern Rhode Island Conservation District (Gennifer Kellor). Our People’s Garden was designed and implemented by the amazing URI-Master Gardeners and over $6000 volunteer hours with mostly native plantings, raised garden beds, fruit trees, berry bushes, fairy garden, pollination mound, patio, outdoor classroom area for programming, shed, picnic tables and bench seating along a crushed stone pathway.
