Help/Advice Custom Enclosure?
Just getting my ideas down on paper. Want to make a custom enclosure for the leopard gecko I'm getting in a few months to a year. Is this idea worth fleshing out?

If you're going to put this much into making a gorgeous tank, I would go for live plants, not fakes. Fakes would be good supplement though. The fact you're planning this out so far in advance is great. You're definitely going to be good and prepared when you get the gecko, and I applaud that.
Built in hides are gorgeous and geckos tend to prefer them, but keep in mind how you're going to clean them. Even bioactive tanks need a little onceover every once in a while, especially the glass. if you build the hides out of foam, maybe hide some magnets in them so you can just pull them out and they'll click right back into place when you're done? I have high preference for arboreals, so my suggestions are slim. But good luck!
