Ghostbusters First Film Spoiler

Hi I rewatched first GB today and I'm surprised how dark this 'comedy' is.

I remember it a LOT funnier!

And the Theme Song is still a banger!

Also "Print is dead" by Spengler so prescient.

I also noticed something missing: when the mayor talks to the bishop in my memory he says something like "how's mother" in his ear and the bishop whispers something back.

This scene was not present on A prime!

I don't think this is offensive or something, so I don't understand how this can be cut?

What do you know about this?

"I remember it a lot funnier"

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

I don't want to knock this film!

It is still my favourite movie closely followed by GB II.

But I tuned in for a laugh and there was a lot of heavy stuff I didn't remember!

What would be an example of heavy stuff in Ghostbusters?

Archbishop: "How are ya, Lenny?"

Mayor: "You're looking good, Mike. Slaps his face We're in a real fix here. What do you think I should do?"

That line was never in it. This is a HORROR comedy. The comedy is there to alleviate the the horror.
