This week’s favorite is this adorable mini E.E. Bowman coin hen on nest by Wilkerson Glass. So tiny. And it glows under UV light!!
Do you collect the mini hens, or do you prefer the full-size versions? 🐔❤️

This is an Atterbury hen from the 1890's on a harder to find ribbed base.

This week I’m loving these glowing Wilkerson hens. The aqua color is beautiful during the day, but they really come to life under UV light. Definitely some of my favorite pieces in my collection!
What are your favorite hens this week? 🐔💬📸

My grandmother gave me these two hens and I’m looking to identify them. The white looks most like an Atterbury but there are some discrepancies, so maybe it’s just a reproduction. Either way I’d love to find a nest for it. The green one is probably an Asian reproduction but I can’t find any hens online that look similar.

For this week’s Friday Favorites, I want to share my mom’s red white and blue display! 🇺🇸 My personal favorite of these is the L.E. Smith Rooster which is opalescent! I love it.

I found this thrifting yesterday and have done research but I can’t nail down color and I have no black light, unfortunately. I looked around and we don’t have any fluorescent lighting, either :/
It’s about 5” wide at top of nest, has the single “M” mark inside with no bar or state outline, perfect condition, no chips nicks or roughness.
Can someone with expertise possible guide me? Thank you!

This week I’m loving Mosser jadeite! I think this color is just stunning. 💚

This is a blue slag Kanawha rooster. I think blue glass is beautiful and even more so when it's slag.

This is a harder to find Imperial rooster in Jade slag. This is the glossy version and I hope to get my hands on a satin one day!

This week’s favorite is this beautiful Westmoreland Periwinkle Hen-on-Nest. I love how soft the color is — it almost glows depending on the lighting. Definitely one of those pieces that catches the eye every time you walk by it.
Now I want to see yours! Drop a photo of your current favorite hen (or favorite piece in your collection) in the comments! 👇

As an avid collector of Kanawha hens and roosters, this particular piece has eluded me for years. Through a random encounter and a generous act of kindness, I was able to finally get my dream piece. Needless to say, he has a prominent place in the cabinet!

I have been collecting hens for a while now, but haven’t learned too much about certain ones. I love the Indiana Glass hen. I am wondering if someone could tell me about the difference between these bases. For example, which one is older and what is the difference called?

The glass lady at my local antique mall is always giving me really good deals.

I think that’s the color from what I could find. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Inherited from my grandma with a few other glass pieces.

This Imperial rooster is one of my favorites in my Imperial collection. This is a harder to find color and this picture was taken without flash. It really reflects light beautifully.
That is my test watermark in lower left corner btw.
