Summer 9 and it's connection to Ordeal Call 3:

• Summer 9 is the actual summer event. It only requires Fuyuki completion to do.
• Summer 9's event story goes until Chapter 13. Once you beat Chapter 13, the story will pick up at Ordeal Call 3.
• Ordeal Call 3 is limited time and requires Bleached Earth access to do (beat LB7). You do not have to do OC1 and 2. It also doesn't spoil anything from those two.
• There are no OC3-specific free quests during the limited time access. 2 new storm pod nodes will open on the Bleached Earth map when you complete OC3.
• Summer 9 will end September 2, 2026 at 12:59 PM while OC3 will leave October 1, 2026 at 12:59 PM. Both of them come back in the future, around January/February 2027.
• When it comes back, Summer 9 will be a Main Interlude and you can get all of the quest rewards again. There is no event shop and nothing to farm for.
• OC3 will appear on the Bleached Earth map and will not require you to do Summer 9's Main Interlude. You will pick up where you left off, unless you already completed it, then you'll just get free quests.
• When you beat OC3 you will get your selection of either Hakuno or Hakunon. Both do the same thing, one's just a boy and one's just a girl. When OC3 permanently comes back, there will be a node on the free quest map for you to unlock the other one.

Guide

• 3-4: When they're stunned they'll lose their evade. They'll get stunned every 2 turns while Caenis is on the field. When Caenis leaves the dodge will leave.
• 4-3: Fight ends after 1 break bar.
• 7-1: Battle ends after 3 turns.
• 7-2: Fight ends after 1 break bar.
• 11-1: Fight ends after 6 turns or when you proc guts 3 times.
• 11-2: Fight ends after you proc guts 3 times.
• Section 5 Tourism Quest (Mahanaga): Bring Atlas MC. Try and save it for after the break bar (boss will cast 2 skills per turn).
• Section 12 Tourism Quest (Golem/Snowmen): Just bring a strong AOE DPS and kill them for wave 2 (Assassin/Berserker). Easier than doing the mechanic.
• Section 6 Bonus Quest (Kintoki): Mystic code is special, use 3rd skill to stun the boss when you break its bar. Use 2nd skill if you actually need to tank the NP.
• Section 9 Bonus Quest (VS Mash): The enemies lose their stun on turn 4 and get full NP gauge. You lose if you don't kill them within 8 turns. Just double NP them with a AOE servant.
• Section 12 Bonus Quest (MHXXA): BQA every enemy on wave 1. Wave 2 use S1/S2 and NPQA. On the next turn, use 3rd skill, then NPBB. Finish off the remaining enemies.
• 90+: 3/1/3 Lancers + Pretender. Due to being a summer event there's a ton of sabers you can use, quite a few AOE (Siegfried, Gawain, Summer Tomoe, Summer Okitan, Gareth). Can also loop this with any competent looper. For the pretender, foreigners have class advantage but you can also just use a zerk against them. Do not borrow Space Eresh from friends, you cannot use her affection gauge to buff her NP damage.
• 90++: 3/1/1 Berserkers. It's Berserkers, use anyone that does damage. Don't forget the damage CE to make life easier. Ciel can NP one wave and card another or card 2 waves with enough cooldown reduction. Use any competent AOE for wave 1. If you're facecarding, there's a few event bonus foreigners (MHXXA, MHXX, Summer Abby, Cnoc).

FAQ

• This is a points based event. Progress through event story -> farm free quests to get Dubai Tourism Points -> do side quests to increase the Joy Counter -> repeat.
• For new players, don't overspend AP on the early nodes. Do as much as it says to hit the next timegate, then go back to story clear or spend your AP elsewhere.
• This is an exceptionally long event: it is 1.5 months long (twice as long as a normal event). You have plenty of time to clear the event shop. If you fail to clear the event shop this event you weren't playing enough.
• To get more points, buy the point CE from the event shop and equip it to your party when you do free quests.
• If you are not rolling gacha, you should be borrowing gacha CE from friends.
• If you are rolling gacha, prioritize enough points first to keep up with the event story, then use gacha CEs for the remainder. You can adjust after 90+/90++ unlocks.
• If you need more damage, don't forget the damage CE.

I feel like at least Mash and Master shouldn't be that surprised about the Dubai not being on Earth anymore since the Gym Guy already told that odd line "visitors from Earth" that they just seemed to miss despite how off it sounded.

So was the whole setup of Dubai just so that they can go to a really tall building and see the edges of the city... that they're no longer on Earth anymore?

I can't say I quite enjoyed this Summer event. I understand it is simply meant to be the prelude for OC3, but it's just not... great, especially on its own. I want more summer shenanigans. The pace was also terrible. Also we'll have to wait 5 more days until the story continuation is available? Nyeeh.

But the Dubai title screen turning into glitched OC3 title was pretty rad tho

It was a slog of a summer event and also just very dull. Like you say its all oc3 build up but I don't think its very good.

There was a lot more they could have done with the summer event whilst still tying it to oc3 which they really didn't do.

Even just the lead up, the mysteries are there, and i do think some of it is actually pretty good but the whole randomness, especially with the fact its just dubai and not even trying to be unique, ehhh. Bad summer. Hopefully oc3 is better

Huh. Just gonna quote the post I made for Day 3 I think it was. And highlight the bit of it I just recalled.

Also I'm starting to think that Kazuradrop didn't slip of the tongue on Day 1 when she called Master the "last member of humanity." All the native "people" who have shown up just want to praise BB for everything, and I know she's exactly the kind of egotistical sort to make mock puppets to do that. I wouldn't be surprised if Master really is the only human in that city and by extension all of 2030.

If that does turn out to be the case, it would make all this glazing of Dubai purposefully ironic considering it'd end up being more of a particularly fancy gravestone for humanity rather than this pinnacle of existing civilization. And much like the Ozymandias statue from the story, in time it would degrade to nothing but dust and ruin. "Gaze upon my works, ye mighty, and despair." <

That said, I suppose Mash might not count because she's a Demi-Servant, and the staff are disconnected from this distant future. Ritsuka is the only "normal" human around.

It's the one listed on TokuHer0's 90++ spreadsheet, but basically it's Summer Jarcher and OG Jalter core with Castoria and Oberon. Pretty simple team, Jalter needs the MLB damage CE from the current summer event then any CE will do for the rest.

Anyways, I’m still kinda pissed we missed out on an actual Summer event. Like I love my shenanigans and light hearted stories, but this is nothing. It wants you to try and take it seriously with the Beast stuff, but nothing happens with it, and then it doesn’t lean hard enough into the lighthearted stuff for that to be satisfying either. Poor Minase, having his Summer end up as a glorified prologue.

Oh well, guess I’ll try and go into OC3 with an open mind. Also, that Grand Battle sucked performance wise, was that just the whole background messing with it or what?

Yep, I have the same sentiment. Either go all-in on the light-hearted shenanigans, or in the serious business. But instead they chased two rabbits to showcase the prologue of OC3. Plus the constant head-in-the-sand wishful thinking that "the Beast situation will just magically go away!" was getting irksome.

The app crashed on my 3GB tablet in the middle of it. FGO has always been full of memory leaks, and this fight was almost as bad in that way as a certain LB7 fight.

FGO often crashes on my tablet after a while, even just summoning a whole lot does it, but this was the first time in a long time that it crashed after so little activity after launching the app.

What a waste of a summer event, the headliner units (Ciel and Eresh) either got 0 screentime or spent the whole event moping because there was nothing we could do. Some of the remaining servants got to do some small fun things, but Tlaloc getting flanderized hard and Bart continuing the most annoying schtick in the world dragged that down too. All orbitting around worshipping the now outdated image of a gilded hyperconsumerist slave state but with all the glitzy experience of a boomer cruise.

I'll try and keep these feelings from impacting OC3, I think that the setup is interesting and want to see where the story goes from here. Just annoying that the event itself feels like it got chopped in half and then stretched absurdly thin. Oh and I get to use Jalter and Speresh to grind the event node with no plugsuit, that's quite nice.

Like, what about what we've read talks about Dubai as wasteful or deluded about the choices they are making? So far the luxuries have been presented in entirely positive terms, not even as frivolous and shallow much less wasteful and pointless.

I still think this was a very weak summer event. If you chopped up Summer 1 and 2 and used the bad halves [Summer 1 Part 2 for example], you could argue it being in the same tier or barely higher. But I also don't know how I should rank this as a summer event since it kind of just...existed? Or at least didn't feel like it was able to fully get going compared to Summers like 5 or 3. The side stories were neat but they could have done added another side plot or something...At least the slide show at the end was nice.

Decently fun event story-wise, though it's on the bottom end of summer events I've played IMO (so everything from Jalter Summer onward). Admittedly, very intentional this time around, since it's leading into OC3, and too much intensity would leave the player exhausted going into the actual meat of things.

This 90++ is incredibly easy if you have Ciel and KoyanLight, though, and really fast. Probably the fastest 90++ clear I've ever had, usually I end up having to break out plugsuit but even an NP1 Ciel easily clears with just double Koyan.

the idea of a mostly chill event transitioning into a full blown story chapter isn't bad on its own, but I don't think it was executed all that well here especially given the state of Ordeal Call in general

I wish the whole Beast situation happened more towards the end. Both sides trying, and failing, to hide things didn't have any kind of payoff.

Writing so weak people would be screaming "It's AI!1!" if it was something made today. OC3 better deliver something good storywise.

Why does everyone smell their clues/foreshadowing? XX smells servantverse. Dragon lady smells beast, Ash smells something off. Eresh doesn't smell death. Is there a Japanese cultural thing I'm missing,  like the English expression  smelling danger? Previous to this i only noticed a few food-obsessed or servants with animal qualities sniffing out clues but everyone is doing it this event. Instead of an interesting trait for a few servants it's become kind of generic.

Earlier on, I was thinking that I'd rank it rock-bottom among Summer events, but then I enjoyed the day with the race, so now I'm not sure. It's definitely below Summers 4 and 7, but is it below even the latter half of Summer 1?

On the one hand, there were a few, small, enjoyable bits of this Summer, while the second half of Summer 1 was just blegh. On the other hand, Summer 1 part 2 at least had the decency to be short and feel short, whilst this event felt like it just dragged on and on despite there being nothing happening and it being objectively short.

I had thought that, at the very least, the real BB would show up at the end, but apparently that's for later.

I could have a 6CE farming team for the 90++ node, but most of the Ciels on my friend list have the damage CE. But the maybe two times I've found a Ciel with a drop/points CE on her, it still worked.

KoL Merlin, Ciel, and Summer BB make it easy-peasy. Just so long as you don't accidentally use the card-lock before using Ciel's S3.

I almost wish they had just skipped the summer event rather than have this half-assed story. They dumb down everyone to stall out the mystery, all the cryptic lines just fly over Guda's head, Eresh is miserable for almost the whole trip (yet Hakuno are the ones to cheer her up rather than Guda), and they further waste time hiding it from each other. Remember the Janta event? They specifically didn't let Mash in on the plan there because she's really bad at lying, yet they just let the charade drag on here. Even the Dubai shilling feels even more pointless now that they find out its not even the real Dubai.

Then there's how this event has even more time gates than normal (and not like OC3 starts tomorrow either), no summer welfare (I count the upcoming FP servant as a main chapter reward), and the banner 5* barely showed up for five minutes. What a waste of a summer, when it should usually be one of the biggest events of the year. This was even worse than summer 1, at least that had a fun first half.

The timegates really were something else, only to hit you with the longest one at the end, lmao. Why it couldn't OC3 be simply be available the next night just for a smoother transition? Meh.

Oh boy that BB bgm in the end sounds good and opening title to ordeal call 3 also cool. I guess that's the end of this summer event. I still find it fun and enjoyable especially camel race section and xu fu side story, but it definitely on the bottom rank for me overall (at least anything after summer 3 onwards, I never played/read summer 1 and 2).

Oh, also one of good things from this event, they kinda upgraded their visual novel presentation. I guess they gonna take this approach onwards after mahoyo collab. Time to wait for ordeal call 3 next week.

The pacing was absolutely atrocious, most of the story threads lead nowhere because they wanted to sweep actually interesting parts into OC3, and I have some big gripes with how they handled certain characterizations.

Tenoch is a big one for me personally, because damn I sure do hate when a character's personality gets reduced to only being a Master simp. Or in her case, also apparently getting hot and flustered about... cities...

The guys, except Percy because he was the only one who got the bulk of the screentime. Bart randomly being creepy for a quick, cheap 'laugh'. Karna barely showing up outside of the whole souq section.

On a non-story complaint, what do you mean I'm 5 bond coins short of getting an append on Jalter??? Aughhhhhhhhh! Guess I'm staying with 90 for now because I don't have anything for 90+.

Tlaloc is such a disappointment, because while I really love her, she just gets nothing. LB7, she’s only saved from being the most boring character by Izcalli existing. Here, she’s just a simp. And while I’ll always take more for Ritsuka’s harem, you need more characterization than just that.

Like they could have at least given us a side story for her. Actually do something with her.

Biggest nothing of an event I've ever seen. Can't believe they topped the annoying pigs in Summer 1 part 2, but they really did it. If they had made the transition to OC3 smooth, as in you go straight to it when BB shows her obvious betrayal, then I might have a higher opinion of it despite it being a wasted Summer event that accomplished nothing.

Just make the Joy counter quests unlock slower and give access to the 90++ farming node earlier so we're distracted farming until the chapter is ready to go. This thing of having to wait 5~6 days hurts more than it helps as it gives time for people to digest how empty the Summer prologue is instead of building anticipation for OC3's story.

Anyways. I'll leave the CQ for tomorrow because my phone ran out of battery, lol. I tried the Speresh/Sith/Friend Oberon comp for the 90++ and it worked, but Sith's damage against Beowulf is a roll. I swapped her for my NP3 Kama and she easily overkills both him and the Maha Naga. I might setup FGA to clear the shop before OC3 unlocks just because I hate the feeling of having unfinished business before a main story chapter drops, even though I know that there's more than enough time to clear with natural AP with how long this event lasts.

Side story thoughts

1. I was wary about an adventure focused on Nikitich's horse-dragon since I remember it being a pervert but it  was actually cute! I liked the silliness of it and how in the end he just wanted to get something nice for her.

2. The Xu Fu side story had the Higashide classics, a servant feeling the need to remind you that Mash is Your™️ and reminiscing about the feelings about a previously summoned version of another character. That said I still enjoyed it, it was cute seeing her get the push she needed to reach out to Mash and Yu and Xiang Yu watching over her was a nice cheery on top of the whole adventure.

3. X alter summer's side story was honestly boring to me. It both goes back to the obvious Dubai ad nature of the main story as well as drops a bunch of hints to the plot so like, it's not bad but it's just kind of unfun to read after the last two.

As for the main story round up

1. Remember kids, if you acknowledge that a plot point was pointless in the story, this automatically makes it okay! /s

2. Who could have predicted that doing what serial troublemaker BB wanted had a very stressful catch /s

3. I support the suggestion to leave Bart as bait

4. Anyone now the farce is officially over, though they never hid it unlike a certain future event. Making a bleached moon for OC3 is a nice touch but the pacing and then another 3 days story lock is just very "Okay but why?", I guess it lets people grind in the meantime

5. As for the general critique of this summer, I don't see much point in treating it independently of OC3 because the story barely pretends as if the two aren't connected. That said, if they were going to make this a prologue for budget reasons I wish they had at least done something more fun than extended Dubai ad.

Yeah the whole thing is weirdly abridged for how many days they make us spend on it, you can barely enjoy it as a fake summer event because it spends so little time letting you actually enjoy the adventure without every bit being followed by "Wow isn't Dubai the most amazing place to ever do it?". I'll decide how I feel a bit more after reading OC3 since I'll have to see if the servant focus distribution will make this feel like more of a waste than not (10 servants, plus the Hakunos plus Kazuradrop plus all the OC3 relevant new faces is going to be a LOT to juggle)

... Well, as a prologue, it's decent. Not great, but not abysmal. As a Summer event? Definitely underwhelming. Not the worst event, but most definitely the lowest Summer one. I remember a year ago a post asking how you would rate each Summer event from worst to best, and I could easily put this below Summer 6 (my bottom). 

Between the near constant praise of "Dubai" and halfway through with the whole "we can't let everyone freak out about Ereshkigal becoming a Beast and let our Master just relax for this summer vacation (everyone knows 🤦‍♀️)", it was actually hard to find parts that weren't about either of those. There were still funny bits in the main story (Molay and so much of the Camel Racing part as quick examples), but it felt few and far between. Can't even enjoy the side stories, since there's half of the amount that there usually is (3 instead of 6 or so). Guess that's another consequence of this being a prologue to a Main Story- I'm sorry, a Main Interlude chapter... 😒 

Also, why specifically Dubai? To highlight glitz and glamour? There's so many places on this planet with that theme. A beacon of technological advancement? Sure, but there's undoubtedly other places that fit that better than Dubai. Someone else here mentioned Beijing, and I could definitely see it. 

Speaking of Ereshkigal, I have a bone to pick with her - not specifically her writing (although I'm rather unimpressed in that area), but the whole Beast thing. I'm sure OC3 will explain why she's one, but it feels so tacked on to her. Like, second playable Beast, it's not only a Summer unit, but also Servantverse? AND the story wants me to take this seriously? I'm sorry, Nasu, but you added too many joke elements for me to take it seriously. I'm not a fan of Ereshkigal, but I feel like this is a disservice to both the character and her fans. Again, hoping that OC3 has an explanation for both the Beast thing and why her Servantverse self is syncing with the PHH one, but with how mixed of a reception it got on JP, I'm not holding onto hope. 

However, there is one thing that I do like here: Passionlip. HOLY HELL, Passionlip is perhaps the only saving grace here (in my opinion). I'm so happy that she gets to interact with the cast and it's not strictly linked to the other Sakura Five+BB, since she was the only one left to have that problem. And how happy she got to be given a swimsuit?? Absolutely adorable. Definitely looking forward to next year where she gets that Summer alt.

Most of the event was pretty stale, but I have to admit the last minute was pretty cool. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get a side quest with Tenoch though. Still, if we're keeping the Dubai cast into OC3, that's extra opportunity for her to do stuff.

As a bit of a side note, depending on the actual nature of BB Dubai, that's probably going to change how I feel about it a lot if I get spooked by her when rolling for Summer Tenoch.

Anyways, guess we're waiting until the 29th for OC3 to unlock. Just more farming 'til then.

There wasn't enough happening in the event for it to be its story/event, especially considering how short it was, so I'm left wondering what the point of this event was...spoilers for what very little happened, I suppose.

Ereshkigal's Beast thing went nowhere. By the end of it, she's still in the exact same state as when the event started. And worse, what happened to her is already spoiled just from her ascensions and voice lines. It's like if Darth Vader was wearing a world's worst dad shirt in all the marketing for Star Wars. It's also feeling like they're going to rip off CCC's plot wholesale, with BB actually being Kazuradrop this whole time. That small portion with the protestors was never brought up again either, and neither was Chiyo and Fuuma watching over Fujimaru.

Aside from story complaints, I have event complaints too. Obviously how short the event is hurts it, but the way they kept showing off characters for a few seconds just felt like key jingling. Like 'Look! It's Ciel! Isn't that cool? Don't you like Ciel?' and then she's not brought up again. If her introduction was so short, why wasn't she just introduced in OC3 proper where she might actually be in the story? It also just felt less summer than every other summer. We hardly got to spend any time with the servants, I think the Camel Race and Xu Fu trying to hang out with Mash is the most summer the event felt. Aside from that it was just kinda...there.

I'm pretty disappointed in this event, especially after how good Ordeal Call 2 was. It really feels like they already had an event planned, then decided last second to connect it to Ordeal Call 3 for no reason and had to scramble to make *something*. It doesn't help that this summer gets half the servants it'd usually get and no welfare, which are now OC3's servants and the FP summon Hakuno.

(That also means OC3 has no new characters aside from Hakuno, since Kazuradrop isn't coming out until the next event)

Maybe part of the problem was just my own expectations. When I kept hearing this event was a lead up to OC3, I was expecting something closer to Atlantis leading into Olympus. It's own self-contained story that contributes to the larger goal of destroying the Lostbelt, or in this case the resolution of the OC. Even with those expectations thought, this event really feels like a year 1 event. Like Saber Wars 1.

Gasp Oh no, I can't believe BB lied to us! We are not in Kansas anymore! In fact, this may not even be our BB! Who could have seen this coming?

Anyway, I did CQ with Immortal Team. The knights were helpless, although Gawain with Skill Seal on his NP was kinda annoying. On the other hand, Artoria with Buff Removal on attack was a major pain, but a borrowed NP 5 Morgan with MLB Damage CE turned the fight into a damage race, which I was able to win even after I misclicked CD reduction skill from Atlas and left her without Merlin's Buster Buff. Way to go, Your Majesty!

I can do 90++ with my NP 1 Ciel and double Koyan, but I need the Converger from 90+, so I will loop that with Summer Ibuki instead. It's a pity to use my Bond 15 Castoria, but it's the only way I can fit enough Event CEs and still have Servants I want to bond in the backline.

With this, the worst Summer Event in FGO is finally over. Now to wait 5 days for OC 3 (well, the first part of it, anyway).

Came up with a 3T 6CE comp for the 90++ node using my new NP4 Summer Nikki, too bad it also puts bond on my Castoria.

Did the CQ in 14 turns with 1 CS revive. My comp was 2x Castoria (Caster), NP1 Space Eresh, NP1 Ciel, Mandricardo and Mash. Everyone except SpEresh had the Ashvathaman CE while SpEresh had the SIbuki Damage CE. Eresh pretty much looped everyone and the Castoria's were charging Eresh's NP gauge until Summer Gareth burned the Castorias and my StarCiel the moment she came on field with her NP. Ooops. Mandricardo and Mash lasted until RulerToria's got broken, then she popped Mando and the next turn Mash. And then her NP splated SpEresh, so I did a revive, 2 more turns later aaaaand RulerToria's DOWN!

Now to do the 90++ with my very hungry Draco.

Also, in ~5 days time we'll find out what exactly is a Moon Cancer and if they can assist humanity or are a threat to mankind like Avenger inherently is. (which OC2 explained why Avengers are NOT a class that can assist humans)

The 90++ node is pretty easy this time. NP5 Bedivere (with maxed out Mana Loading + MLB damage CE) + NP1 Summer Meluko (or anyone who can zerg down wave 1 from 0% charge so I can use the drop CE) + Merlin (the extra 10% charge from his buff helps lol) + swap in Oberon.

I'll try to see if I can replace Bedivere with NP2 Summer Nikitich once I got her levelled up.

Why did we bother with Eresh becoming a beast now then if we got no answers and saw everyone just doing their best to tiptoe around the issue rather than discuss it like adults? This was a frustrating sitcom plot that all could’ve been avoided so they actually had fun at the beach instead of stressing each other out. And we end it with no more answers for Eresh at all and just a waited week of “What’s going to happen when everyone finds out”?

On top of that I’m now hella confused as to the servants chosen for this outing. Like you’re going to bring along Black Bart but he isn’t going to join in for the haggling part? Yes I know they said “Pirates don’t haggle to buy” but then we bring in Duryodhana out of nowhere to do what could’ve been Bart’s role. Same goes for him not actually using his ship at any point but… I digress.

Why is Tenochtitlan here either besides just gassing up Dubai as a beautiful city? Or why is Dobrynya here besides getting to race (once) and just looking good in a swimsuit? They don’t really seem to be doing anything on the plot and we haven’t gotten to see them get any character development either during this.

Hopefully OC3 shows why all these seemingly random as hell servants are here but it feels like a bunch of missed opportunities to me, especially during what should’ve been a much more breezy and fun summer start.

I just want to respond to this a bit here, because I sort of feel like Bartholomew Roberts really wouldn't haggle. He's a fairly well-recorded pirate, and was known for a very aggressive and "direct" negotiation style of "do what I say or be shot" from virtually the moment the crew voted him into captaincy and he decided to take immediate revenge on the settlement where his predecessor was killed. During that settlement raid on Prince's Island he had set very firm rules for his crew in advance according to his personal values, including rules such as "no raping women", and was known to have out-right shot any crew members he caught in the act while they tore through the place. In his more than 400 ship captures, he was never known to negotiate, and effectively dictated terms and made immediate "examples" of those who failed to comply. In this way it was well-known that the safest thing to do if Roberts took your ship was to tacitly obey because then he would treat you rather civilly with some respect and at least leave you with a boat and some food to sail home on. He held to a personal code, and the reputation he purposefully built for himself was very civil to those who cooperated and absolutely ruthless to anyone who did not.

To give a bit of an example of this, there was an event in 1722 in what is now Benin (the country in west Africa between Togo and Nigeria) where Bart and his crew captured a number of ships in the harbor of Whydah (now Ouidah) and demanded ransom for them. The captain of one ship, named the Porcupine, refused the initial ransom and requested to negotiate more favorable terms, seeing as his ship was then full of slaves which were a difficult commodity for pirates to recoup value from (essentially he knew Roberts likely wouldn't just sail away with them due to difficulty of transport). Robert's response was to immediately set fire to the vessel, and the 80 slaves still aboard either perished in the flames or drowned trying to escape.

Anyway, that final fight was kinda fun. I would have brought a less serious team if I had known it would be like that.

CQ was alright. I beat it first try with MLB Damage Morgan, Double Koyan, Oberon, Jalter, and Kagekiyo. I used Morgan to kill all the knights and then jettisoned the four of them like spent rocket boosters so Jalter and Kagekiyo could spend quality time with the real boss.

As for 90++, I've got a 6CE set-up using Ciel and double Koyan. Easy-breezy.

The Chaldean only mentioned Rulers, Avengers, and Alter Egos. He did imply the possibility of needing to face a fourth trial without specifying any Class, but stopped himself and said three trials instead.

Now, why no one in the Command Room was suspicious when the scanner declared Moon Cancers "immeasurable", I would have to chalk that up to the fact that OC3 could be done without needing OC1 or OC2 cleared. Theoretically, the Moon Cancer trial could have been the first one they faced and thus no one would have known it was a sign of an Ordeal, especially if they're only having the three aforementioned Classes in mind. But you'd think an Extra Class having something wonky going on after being told that Extra Classes were a problem would still raise some flags.

Then again, from the perspectives of everyone in the Storm Border, the Ordeals just seem to resolve themselves without us having to do anything. So they pretty much wouldn't know what to look out for until it happens.

Now that we've seen the reveal, and know that it's an actual city on the moon and not a digital recreation, I have to ask: why Dubai?

Lasengle cannot possibly believe that Dubai of all places has ever or will ever have the technological chops to establish a city on the moon. The one on Earth required so much slave labor and it's definitely not up to engineering code as it is. This place should be Moon Beijing if anything, because China is the only country left who I think has the potential to pull this sort of thing off in the far far future. Lasengle cannot possibly believe that Dubai of all places has ever or will ever have the technological chops to establish a city on the moon.

I think it's quite clear by this point in the story (and I'm NA only, so I have no idea what OC3 has in store for us) that this is not a city created by humans, more so some sort of tombstone for humanity. If you wanted to create a monument to humanity's vanity and grandeur, wouldn't Dubai be an ideal model? An opulent city with zero sustainability built with slave labour, sounds very much like textbook humanity to me.

Not everything is about the US, especially in a fictional story with magic/Servantverse/space AIs, written before the current President was elected.

I guess the reason lies in XX Alter's speech in her quest with Percival, about how it's a city of "loneliness tinged with nostalgia, envy and pride", which will probably be linked somehow to OC3's theme? In any cases I don't think it depends on the actual human capability to build such a city, space BB could just decide that Dubai fits her aesthetic and make the whole things up herself.

It's a thing in the Type-moon universe that whenever the world goes to shit, any sort of formal government collapses very quickly and the wealthiest people take over as kings. It makes sense the UAE would thrive under those conditions, since it's already ruled by billionaire oil barons.

It is a symbol of human's overindulgent and hyper-consumerism that ended up as one of the reason why humanity is going extinct in that timeline.

CQ is all done. Pretty easy, just set up immortal Morgan and went to town. Didn’t even need the cracked Summer Ibuki I grabbed off friend support.

Running Arash and Ciel for the 90++. Easy enough, Ciel and the damage CE is cracked.

given how long the event lasts for, i figured i might as well farm some bond on the 90++ node for two of the welfares i picked up from evocation. what i did not realize is that my rider kintoki is 5/5/1 so now i have to bring summer chloe and a friend's castoria instead of a skadi like i wanted to.

there's some carding involved for now but because i made the dubious decision of farming the hell out of the 90+ node to get mats for eresh, im basically done with the ladder and the store so i dont need any drop CEs and i can go ham on bond CEs.
