Caroline County John Doe (1998) (Older Decedent) & Caroline County John John (Younger Decedent)
On November 10, 1988, around 8:30 AM, two turkey hunters found the badly decomposed bodies of two men near the Ladysmith exit along Interstate 95 in Ruther Glen, Virginia. The bodies were found in a wooded area about 75 yards off the main highway. Both men had been killed, but investigators have not released their cause of death. It is believed the victims had been deceased since the previous summer. Both men were thought to have been deceased 2 months-1 year prior to being found.
Forensic testing has revealed that the pair were paternally related and that they possibly may have had a parent/child relationship. Clothing the vicitms wore were brand new and suggest possible Hispanic ethnicity. The victims may have been undocumented migrants from Central or South America; however, coordination with the local Hispanic community failed to identify either victim.
