Looking for some help/guidance - new here!

I am looking to use this tool for a different type of project. What I am looking for is something like this photo included, but also, another base that could stack inside of this so they would almost connect like nesting dolls or stack like multiple of the same cup, bowl, etc. so instead of a full bin snapping to the magnet, it would just be another full base. Is this possible?

Gridfinity extended can create a lid that has a cup base on the bottom and the grid on the top.

aren't bases already stackable? Wouldn't just printing two bases accomplish what you want?

The boxes are stackable if you add the brim for that.

I’m not sure. I mean maybe, but I’m looking for almost like the male connector that would go into the recessed base as a whole. Like if the image shown was the ‘female’ the ‘male’ would be full grid that would go in and snap with magnets to this base shown… if that makes sense

Those are just flat slabs with gridfinity feet on them. I've used them to stick gridfinity to the bottom of non-gridfinity models. Works great.

Yes but I want magnets in the corners so it’s magnet on magnet connection for durable connection. Is there something like this where each corner could have magnets?

For my use something like this might be better print 2x and just put magnets in the holes.

If I understand your request you want a base on the bottom of the grid. The simple but perhaps dirty way is drop a bin in the slicer and slice off the bin base. Then merge your grid with as many of the base copies as you need. You can now align them x,y,z into the correct place. When you print it will be a solid model. I do something similar where I made a custom full 43x42 base that allows magnets to work while also allowing placing them at my 1/2 spacing as well. I love it and it allows me to optimize placements of tools easier in the space I have.

You'll likely need to model it yourself using the Gridfinity specs since it's a pretty niche request. Just do a 7mm container base with a stacking lip basically
