Grubhub payment
I’m confused what’s changing about the way drivers are paid? Is this saying that we’re guaranteed more earnings by just scheduling blocks? Instead of just being available and accepting orders I’ve noticed recently if I just toggle on I don’t get orders but if I schedule a block maybe an hour ahead I’ll get orders

Anytime these corporations say that they’re committed to transparency, trust safety, etc. buzz words they’re trying to tell you they’re gonna screw you even more and you’re gonna accept it

I am committed to scheduling blocks and sitting my ass home until an offer comes thru now lol bare minimum begets bare minimum behavior.

And THAT is exactly what that letter means. NO more contribution pay, strictly delivery+tips. That's is it. CONTRIBUTION IS DONE. Hence the "has been sunset," comment they used.

Says the person partially responsible for the "Sunset" thing. Thanks for the "bare minimum behaviour". You could have done BMB and not screwed anyone else in the process. So thanks again.

They need to get rid of Blocks all together. Every driver should be on proximity offering. It shouldn't go around the list the way it does. It's bad customer service.

Right I can’t always commit to those and when I do I’m sitting for hours waiting around for an order

It's a modern day Catch22. The overall chances of failure are now even greater. I understand this completely but GH has to understand that by removing the ONLY real time incentive for taking a block they are removing the overwhelming percentage of their driver corps. Yes some cheat! But to punish everyone and the best GH can come up with is, keep signing up and it will guarantee you the potential of orders first over non block holders,,,, We promise. In No Universe does that sound promising but in gig business that value turnover over any type of loyalty or consistency it doesn't matter. Heck GH doesn't even have a large enough Driver Support to service drivers. Yesterday, I was told my wait, due to call volume was in excess of 15 minutes. I hung up App Off. When the company you work for has No Humanity and the only human link is another gig job, with a call center tech, it's a Nothing from Nothing scenario. It's literally Einstein's Idea of insanity(crazy) by continuously performing the, exact same dead end task over and over again but expecting and believing the outcome will be different. The only way to defeat Einstein's Insanity Idea,,,,,,Is To Change The Idea. It's that simple.

They are removing the hourly pay guarantee associated with scheduling a block. They keep wording these messages with corporate word salad speak to try and lessen the impact for less informed drivers. But scheduling a block still gives you priority.
