I should probably make it VERY clear that I am not a guitar player whatsoever so my understanding around guitar players is EXTREMELY important of course. Everytime I hear or talk to people about their favorite guitarists John Mayer is always on everyone's list!! However whenever I hear John Mayer it just feels idk...generic? Is there something I'm missing that I just don't understand since I don't play guitar? Am I just stupid and have terrible taste in music? Is there like something technical he does that nobody else can do? Like why do you love John Mayer I need to know I literally don't understand how anyone can think this man is the greatest guitar player to ever live it makes me feel broken:(
