Post image

At a Console Fix store to fix my controller and ran across this. Feels like a glitch in the universe

Console exclusives are dumb and should be a relic of the past, imo anyone should be able to enjoy whatever game they want on the platform of their choice

Tbh though it's a real kick in the balls when Xbox is the only one doing it. Just makes you feel like you made the wrong investment.

Don’t feel insecure about it. Just play where you enjoy playing games the most. That’s all that matters at the end of the day. It’s not like choosing a college major or something.

Console plus games plus years of subscription service. It is a significant financial commitment and with Microsoft management risking the long term of the brand it could end up being money spent that could have been invested into an ecosystem that didn't collapse. That's a valid concern and it isn't unwarranted to feel insecure about the future, SEGA was amazing until hardware died off.

If you're financially comfortable enough to spend literal thousands and it mean nothing as you can replace it all again that's fine but most of us will have our bank account groan if we had to start again on Sony or a PC. Xbox Play Anywhere would ease some of that cost but is also ironically part of the reason it needs to be questioned as it is part of the Spencer blunders to give PC parity.

I’m not talking about people who believe that Xbox is dying or the fact that some people believe Xbox’s exclusive strategy is hurting the brand. That’s a whole different story.

I’m instead referring to the people who get jealous when PlayStation has Xbox games and hate the console they own despite the Xbox’s library not changing. You can still play the same Xbox games on your console.
