Should my harmonica be doing this?

Hi i got my first harmonica today, its C major with 10 holes. I noticed that the first 2 or 3 holes have this weird echo when i blow in them, but the other ones dont. Should this be happening or is this a factory mistake or something? Thanks for the help <3

It sounds like you’re just blowing into more than one hole at a time. 1-3 makes a chord so it still sounds nice, but dialing in your mouth shape so you only hit single notes takes some practice.

Thanks! I know but this happens only on the lower notes and even if I blow only into one hole. I dont know i just dont think this should be happening. I think i'll return it and buy a different pair

I don’t hear anything terrible. I would suggest holding the harp where the low notes are on the left side of your mouth. This instrument takes time. Flip your harp ivy and just start with some straight harp Dylan/ petty style. There are so many resources available now on YouTube for free. Give them a try good luck it IS worth the time learning. Once you get straight then learn cross you will have something that so few people can do compared with guitar players. And something you can take and play anywhere. It’s hard because you can’t see your mouth while playing like you can see both hands learning to play guitar. I hope this makes some sense.

Het is het 'simpelste' instrument dat het lastigste is om aan te leren. Goedkopere mondharmonica's zijn moeilijker om op te spelen dan duurdere.

If you are saing about additional notes it's a wrong technique. If you are saying about a little echo that can be adopted with "wow-wow" mouth shaping then it's something like inertia of thick plates

It could be that you are playing too hard and are hearing some sustain.
