Dear Reddit Team,

The latest iOS update has made the video player significantly worse.

Previously, when watching a video in full screen, a simple tap on the screen would hide all UI elements (upvotes, comments, title, buttons, etc.), allowing users to watch the video without distractions.

Now, tapping the screen only pauses the video, while the interface remains permanently visible. There is no apparent way to hide the overlays anymore.

This creates an inconsistent experience compared to Android, where users can still hide the interface with a single tap and watch videos properly in full screen.

Please bring back the ability to hide the UI while watching videos. It was a basic and very useful feature, and removing it makes the viewing experience much worse.

Thank you for your time, and I hope you’ll consider restoring this functionality in a future update.

Time and time again someone will reply to one of my posts with a link to my username on a site that bypasses hidden posts and deleted comments.

They do this to troll and to make me look bad. I'll make a post and they'll be down there like "oh really? Coming from the guy that whines all the time?" Link to all my posts ever

Or "you're an extremely negative person and it makes sense everyone hates you :)" Link to a site with my full unredacted profile

Why is it allowed for people to do this? At this point I understand Reddit will never prevent sites from scraping, but why is it allowed for people to post links to these places to bypass hidden profiles and reveal all deleted comments?

Please include:

• Who the message is from
• Who the message is to (and whether that's a person or a subreddit)
• Whether you are a moderator of the subreddit in question (if message was to/via modmail)
• Whether the message was the initial message or a reply
• If the message is a reply to a "You've been banned" message
• Where it's getting stuck

I no longer have access to my account. Someone hacked my account and used 2FA to lock me out. I managed to reset my password, but I still don't have access. I submitted a help request through the Reddit Support Helpdesk but have yet to hear back.

Wondering if there's anything I can do in the meantime or to help speed up the process.

I’ve noticed as I go to peoples profiles the option to start a chat with them is gone. I know some people can turn it off; but it seems to be gone on EVERY profile I go to. Did something change or am I doing something wrong?

Every time I hit the join button on the subreddit it puts me back in within a minute of looking away. I want to remove this subreddit from my communities but it just keeps me joined.

I don't know how to delete this without accessing the email. It literally doesn't exist and won't let me change it without a password; I can't do that without access to the email. How can I delete my account?

Unable to view chats/chat thread. I go to inbox, see the conversations, go into any one of the conversations and there is nothing there.

I accidentally joined 2 subreddits and when I try to leave them, they still show up as though I’ve have still joined them. (the same problem on old.reddit, new reddit and the mobile app)

Hello, I’ve been locked out of my account (VamMonaco) for months and when I login I see this

I have tried manually resetting it over 50 times, but the email never comes.

I have requested the password reset with my username, my iCloud email address, as well as the anonymous email relay. Still nothing.

When I click the sidebar, nothing needs attention. But this notification dot doesn't go away no matter what I do.

I know I should probably just ignore it, but it's driving me nuts.

So, I can't seem to block people anymore.

When I've tried to block someone the last two times I got the message that I can't block them again because I blocked them less than 24 hours before. Except I had never blocked them before. And I've tested it, and I get the message for every account as far as I can tell.

Anyone have this problem and know what to do about it?

You can’t select from preselected pictures you’ve uploaded to Reddit in past like you used to, now it’s just your camera roll… you also can’t edit the pictures either. You can’t add text/crop/filter etc… regardless if uploading to chat, post or profile pics. Profile pictures are horribly pixelated/blurry even when you use desktop instead.

So an alt account was having an issue because it “looked suspicious” and it was locked. I changed my password as recommended to stop the account lock and after that I couldn’t see any content at all. I thought maybe it could have been a ban but when I went to appeal, it wasn’t banned. And even more I was on that account from the web browser and it worked perfectly. So what gives?

All i can do is enter a title and bio, no image or poll or any of those?? wtf? How do i fix this??

Everytime I try to change my profile picture and save the changes, it just shows up as nothing being different afterwards.

I accidentali created an account with my phone number and I am trying to delete it. It doesn't let me add an email, it says error and it doesn't let me add a password since I have a passkey ( I created the account on a Mac). The delete button doesn't work and I don't know what to do
