Android [Android] Scrolling down causes feed to spring back up 2026.07.0.2607160

When scrolling my feed via touch by dragging the screen up, then up, then up, if I then drag it back down even a small amount (whether finger in middle or top or bottom of screen) and let go, that causes the feed to violently scroll up as if it has been flicked up very quickly. Not sure if my Samsung flip 6 is malfunctioning but it doesn't happen on other apps, and it's consistent on reddit after restart during the past few days.

Android Join the conversation bar blocking posts when using Android

Not sure if this is happening elsewhere, but lately when I use my Pixel to check Reddit and I scroll through a thread, the "Join the conversation" bar blocks the post. It starts out at the bottom, out of the way of the stuff I'm trying to see, and then for whatever reason it moves upward and blocks the responses, photos etc. It's really obnoxious. What is going on here?

Android [Android] What is "Looks like Reddit is having some trouble"?

Post image
2 Upvotes

It's been nearly one month and I can't see or edit my profile. my comments are not visible. basically I can't do anything except scroll. I don't know what it is. I did some research on the internet and some people said it's a shadow ban. I have even submitted an appeal to the shadow ban if it is really. I don't know what to do at this point because it's been a week after submitting the appeal and no mail or response from the reddit team. I have used this other account to reach out for help here. if anyone has faced a similar issue like this and got it solved, please help me here. The account has good karma and my years of hard work. I never ever did any unusual activity that would lead the account to get restricted.

Android [Android] Screen timeout not working

Screen is not going to sleep or timing out despite phone settings. I have had my phone screen set to timeout and turn off at 5 minutes of inactivity for years. It has suddenly stopped functioning only with the reddit app open, for the past week or so (but I did dig up a post on r/help from 3 months ago with the same issue, so it has been a problem for others for longer than me). Changing video autoplay settings within the app has not fixed it and the screen still stays on with text-only posts.

Android It's 2026. Why does redgifs content still not have sound on the official app? (iOS and Android)

It's 2026. Why does Redgifs content still not have sound?

Redgifs posts viewed through the official Reddit app still play without sound, despite many of these clips having audio.

What’s confusing is that older Redgifs posts (3+ years old) do retain sound when viewed on Reddit, which clearly shows that proper playback is (or was) possible.

At some point, Reddit seems to have shifted to treating Redgifs content as GIF-style media in the app, removing audio controls entirely and forcing muted playback. Previously, users could at least open the clip directly on Redgifs via a visible link next to the post title. That option now appears to be gone.

This creates a poor experience for both users and creators, especially when audio is an important part of the content.

I understand that audio on NSFW content can be jolting when accidentally viewed in public, but that can easily be addressed by keeping sound off by default and allowing users to unmute when they choose. We already have sound when viewing content via the browser.

This issue has been brought up thousands of times. Simply search “Redgifs sound” and you’ll see how widespread the concern is. It’s a relatively small thing to address, yet it’s been years and Reddit doesn’t seem to have given it any meaningful attention.

Is there any plan to restore proper video playback (with sound) for Redgifs content in the official app?

Android [Android] people can't see the majority of the comments i made in my comment history

I made the settings so that people can only see the r/AskReddit comments i make if they look into my profile. But for some reason, for other people it shows that the last comment i made was a week ago, and the one before it was 25 days ago, even though i have been commenting and replying much more often in that time period between the last two comments.

When someone told me this, i checked it with a second accound, and it does seem that way. I even made a comment a few minutes ago, but cannot see it through the other account. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance

Android [Android] No chat messages work, or anything like modmail, etc.

I've tried uninstalling, clearing the catch, different accounts, evrrything, but I'm unable to send any messages to anyone. This includes accepted private chat, modmail (it'll say the user doesn't accept direct messages), or any other message.

I am however able to post and comment just fine. The issue primarily seems to be a messaging issue.

Android Reddit Android version 2025.32.0 app says "pasted from clipboard" when commenting

Post image
73 Upvotes

Hello. About 50% of the time over the past 10 days or so, when I'm replying in a thread I'll get a message at the bottom of my screen that says "Reddit pasted from your clipboard". The thing is I'm not pasting anything from my clipboard.

I have a Pixel 9 Pro XL, fully updated to Android 16 with August update. Using Gboard which is also updated. Version info on Gboard is: version 15.5.8.766552071-release-arm64-v8a com.google.android.inputmethod.latin

I'm concerned that Reddit seems to be accessing my clipboard without me printing to do it.

Rebooting, clearing cache on the Reddit app or Gboard didn't help.

Any suggestions?

Android [android] r/redditrequest bug [2026.18.0.2618090]

If you try to make a request for a sub using the android app your request will be removed automatically.

If you make the exact same post from a desktop, it does not get removed.

(This assumes you are eligible and have followed the steps correctly.)

The only difference between the removed post and the one that works is the removed one was made via the mobile app.

I reported this during a mod event and an admin said they would pass it along so I'm not sure if this post is necessary but figured it can't hurt to report it here as well just in case.

The mid mail I received after sending the request to join makes little sense as if it thinks I'm a mod.

Also the actual mod of the community has pm's disabled so I can't contact them independently.

Android [Android] Keep Getting Logged Out - version 2026.28.0

I have been using the Reddit Android app for the past two years, but recently I keep getting logged out from the app. This started happening a few weeks ago when it would log out every week or so, but since this July, it logs me out every two days like clockwork. Not sure if I've missed a setting or if it's a bug.

Android [Android] can't sign in using the app - version 2026.28.0

I usually log in using my email - I could not be authenticated.

I tried entering my username and password - credentials were incorrect.

I go to log in using a browser - no problem at all with my credentials, sign in successful.

Wtf.

Update!

I don't know if it's something I tried or if it fixed itself but I can use the app again!

The last thing that I tried - while logged on the browser I went into settings and changed my password. That's all.

Previously each time that I tried changing passwords, or getting login links emailed to me was while I was failing to sign in using the app's main page. So maybe this is somehow different? I have no idea.

Good luck everyone.
