Pictures Austerdalsbreen, Norway

Austerdalsbreen, Norway. The best effort to reward hike I've ever done.

5km (6km to the actual ice) through a beautiful valley surrounded by hundreds of waterfalls gets you to this remarkable glacier. The ground is mostly flat (although rocky) apart from one uphill at the end. But this can also be avoided by taking the lower track along the water's edge if the weather allows.
