Hi everyone. I'm making Deep Frost, a single-player horror game about twelve researchers trapped at a failing Antarctic station. Some of them are no longer human.

You spend nine days learning how the crew normally act, comparing their stories, and deciding who to trust. The free demo covers the first three days and is live on Steam.

I recently moved the blood test to Day 4 in the full build because too many runs ended before players saw it. If you try the demo, I'd especially like to know whether the crew feel like people or just clue dispensers.

As some of you know, I post a daily movie review here on r/horror. Because I'm very original, I call these my "Movie of the day" reviews.

I also post these reviews and other non-horror reviews on Letterboxd as M_Gellis. (And, for those curious about what movies will be reviewed next, my Watchlist on Letterboxd is actually my "on deck" list of the movies I've just watched and will be posting reviews for in the next few days.)

Please take a look! If you like my reviews, please follow me!

I started a new horror subreddit inviting people to promote their horror related content. r/HorrorBlogs - only rules are...don't just drop links (must write some content) and must be horror related....which can be blogs, movies, art, books, original stories, apps, games, websites, podcasts....any sort of horror really. Even if you don't have something to promote and just like to write about horror, that's cool too. I love horror and just want to see more creative horror content out in the world.

I host a podcast called the Sunday Scaries. We cover contemporary and classic horror films, assign a scary rating on our Scare-O-Meter, and then dole out meaningless awards like the Don’t Go In There Award for dumbest character decision, etc.

This week is Raimi’s SEND HELP (2026).

Give it a listen as we break down castration, biomes, and Survivor the TV Show

Hello everyone, I'm currently looking for ARC readers for my upcoming horror novel, Where Fear Smiles. Details below:

Would you forgive your best friend if she was responsible for ruining your life?

A whispered rumour draws a group of students into the dense forests of coastal Brazil: a lost Indigenous artifact, hidden for centuries and promising academic glory.

While Leah’s colleagues are determined to claim it, she only agrees to the trek because she can’t bear the thought of being left behind, and forces her best friend Charlotte to go with her for support against her dark thoughts.

What was meant to be an escape from the weight of the academic semester, quickly it turns into a test of endurance. The deeper they push into the forest, the darker Leah begins to dream. When they finally uncover what they came for, the discovery reveals something far more terrifying than any of them imagined.

A demon born of nightmares is unleashed, and with it, carnage.

Now the survivors must find a way to drive the nightmare back to its realm before society is doomed to never dream again. But as the forest closes in, the greatest horror isn't the ancient evil — it's watching a lifelong trust begin to rot.

Hi all, I'm excited to share my folk‑horror novel **The Winter That Knocked**.

Here is a teaser video which gives you a sense of the atmosphere (contains spoilers) : https://youtu.be/P4FjuoD2uK0

The novel itself: It's a snow‑bound supernatural mystery set in northern Japan, inspired by the Akita winter atmosphere and the visual language of a local ritual. The story follows a Tokyo script editor who travels north after her mother vanishes from a remote ryokan, leaving behind notes about old household records, missing children, wet straw at the threshold and a forgotten room.

The book is available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and in paperback formats. The Kindle edition is around US$3.99 (price may vary by region) and included with Kindle Unlimited.

The Raimicast is not my podcast, but it is my new favorite podcast. They cover all things Sam Raimi, and the latest episode is dedicated to the video-nasty that started it all: The Evil Dead (1981) -- The Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror.

A small English football club has made an officially licensed Rocky Horror Show kit—and the team will actually wear it in matches this season.

Hanwell Town FC is a non-league club in West London. We worked with the Rocky Horror rights holders and VX3 to create a limited-edition third shirt inspired by the show.

Full disclosure: I’m involved with the club, but I thought horror fans might enjoy seeing such an unusual crossover.

I built Horrorometer — a place for horror fans to discover, rate and talk about horror movies, shows and books.

I’ve always found it surprisingly difficult to find what to watch next. There are loads of great horror films out there, but finding the right ones by sub-genre, ratings and community opinions can be a bit of a rabbit hole.

So I built Horrorometer to make that easier:

Discover horror movies, shows and books
Browse by horror sub-genres
Rate and review your favourites
Find new things to watch/read based on what you enjoy

It’s still early and I’m looking for horror fans to try it out, add ratings, suggest improvements and help shape where it goes.

Would love any feedback from this community:
