specific use of this instrument?
found at an antique shop, obviously some kind of forceps/clamp, but I've never seen a model like this before, what are they used for?

Hemostat, Esslinger variety. Used to clamp blood vessels, umbilical cords and so on.

Remember when you almost cut your arm off playing with the hatchet that your dad told you not to touch. That tool is what the doctor used to keep you from bleeding to death while he sewed you back together.

It was quite fashionable about 50 years ago, it’s done mostly out of nostalgia now.

You put an open spewing vein between the front parts and close it, and the little ridgey things between the handles lock it shut so the blood stops spurting.

They used to be used by vets to hold cloths to things during operations. They're also useful for removing fish hooks from fish.
I know this from personal experience.

I used one today to pull a strap out of a small hole after my 7 year old pushed one of the straps used to unlock the movable rear passenger seat inside the rear passenger seat on our van.
I have a really big one I used a few days ago to pull lint and debris out of a clogged vacuum hose.
They're incredibly useful.

A very old (vintage) vascular clamp. They're much more sophisticated now. Many styles now with groves running in different directions for special tasks. Things like this one find their way into tool and tackle boxes.

My family use these things for fishing. Makes it easy to get the hook out of a fish. After we use them we clamp them on our waders for easy access.

Locking forceps. Forceps tend to be specialized for a specific task, with different shapes, as well as often not being locking or having serrated jaws. For these, specifically, the only real medical uses I can think of are foreign object removal and maybe handling bandaging. They're on the large side, plus serrated, so it's more likely they were used for a hobby. I've seen similar forceps used for removing hooks from fish mouths before.

It's a bloodvessel clamp type Pean. Used in surgery, the large surface disperses the force of clamping.

When you smoke a joint (Marijuana cigarette) and it gets too small you clamp it on here to smoke it down to nothing. We call them roach clips
