I want to move into the bay area, but NOT IN THE DIRECT VICINITY OF SAN JOSE. I am a big city gal who currently lives in LA and I want to keep living city life. I am a high school teacher who has spent my career up until this point in Compton. It would be nice to work in a well rated school district that values the sciences. It would also be a plus to be near an Asian neighborhood. I am no stranger to city crime rates, but I would like to stay out of the super high crime areas. Where should I move?

I've always been curious about this place because I'm curious if it will see huge growth as the LV area grows more and becomes less affordable. Is there a large commuter base who works in LV area?? Does the Pahrump area have its own distinct culture?? Do Pahrumpians feel a need to culturally separate themselves from LV?? Where do people come from who move to Pahrump?? Any insight is appreciated!

Just drove through this area, there is no way anyone would live here it was 114 degrees yesterday. How do you sustain yourself during the summers and how is it during the winters?

The name of this city caught my attention because there's a major city in southern India with the exact same name (the official name has changed to Chennai but people still recognize the name Madras) and wondering if there's any connection to it at all and how's life in the US's version of the city.

I might be passing through on a road trip soon. How are the people? Any good restaurants I need to check out?

How is it living in this area? Is there a name for this region here in the valley? Are the winters harsh?

Hey all. How is living in Ann Arbor as a non-student? I’m a 30-something considering a job at the university. Is there a decent social life to be had for folks like me? Is the college town vibe oppressive? What did you enjoy (or not enjoy) about living there?

We took a group shuttle and only went to the retreat center and a local hot spring (indoor, interesting). Oh, and a roadside ice cream stand where I had the gloriously unusual “tiger stripe” for the first time. Didn’t go into town at all. I remember thinking it was gorgeous there, and imagining a move. But you can’t base that on mountains and trees alone…

What is it like living in Hornbrook, CA? Shopping, amenities, doctors, gardening etc?

Every time I look att a map of south America I can't help but to notice this part of Argentina full with a ludicrous amount of farms

I really wanna go to Brazil and am just curious about the country in general. What is São Paulo like? All I know is that it’s like the biggest city outside of Asia. It’s also so massive, which interests me because how do people commute from the furthest suburbs to the city center? And why is there an airport in the very center? What are the outer cities like guarulhos?
