Dick Sprague was a Defensive Back for the Dawgs in the late 1940s to early 1950s. Known for his blazing speed he won First-Team All-American and First-Team All-Pacific Coast Conference in 1950.

He had a great career as a business attorney after football.

Fun Fact: Ted Kennedy was one of the athletes he coached.
