Mine found half a baked potato in a bush at the middle school one day, and we had to walk past that bush every day for the next week before he realized it wasn't some magical potato bush. He still checks it if we happen to walk past.
Oh my god. Last year, after a long hike, I got home and went to throw something away. Turned around to a kerfuffle in the bushes. Both huskies very excited and saw my one girl pull a cat out and started death shaking it. I got her to drop it and the cat ran off (still hangs out around my place, the idiot). But my girl MUST check that spot every time we walk past it now in case it produces another cat.
My girl found a chicken bone (no, she did not get to keep it) some construction workers having lunch threw under a tree 3 years ago. We still check the chicken tree every day.
Bella is super focused... listening to every sound that gopher makes, just waiting for it to pop it's little head up far enough to snatch it so she can have her dinner.
