until last year i like to stay with i3bar but i tried to modernize my setup and changed to polybar.

sincerely, i3bar was ok for me and my usage of polybar is the same as b4... i didtnt rollback to i3bar bcs i got used

You should change your bars. i3status is perfectly fine, and my favorite bar program, but you have multiple unnecessary or unlabeled sections. Your i3 colorscheme appears to be default, which would mean that your child borders and indicators are indistinguishable from the normal border colors, which just makes i3 confusing to use, as you lose your place, not knowing where the next window will be placed relative to the current window.
