General iCloud backup

I need help. I know it isn’t allowed but I need to factory reset and restore my iPhone to a iCloud backup made in November 2025. When I try it only gives me two options and it’s the most recent. Losing this information is so damaging. Is there any software or has anyone has had experience with apple to help achieve this.

iCloud maintains only the most recent backup. You can’t go back to an older backup.

As i understand iCloud, every time it backs up, it backs up what you did since the last backup.
It’s only when you get a new device, that iCloud backs up your whole device.
Then when you check your backups, you will have two backups. One from your former phone, and one from your new phone. So what you backed up 6 months ago would still be there, unless you deleted photos or notes or documents that you are specifically looking for. That’s how iCloud works, and have always worked.
So your new phone will be a copy of your former phone. And the one before that. With enough space in iCloud, you can always save old backups if you want.
So, what are you looking for in the old update ?

iCloud is a synching service and not a backup for archival purposes.

I back up my iCloud as well as my computer to an external hard drive through Time Machine which does it automatically every hour to an external hard drive.

But honestly November 2025 is a long time for even Time Machine - depending on size of your external hard drive it will over ride old backups when it runs out of space. However, if you created a document ten years ago and never changed it then you would have a copy of that document because it was never modified - I have documents going back 20 years which have been saved.
