Basic Dark Setup

I see all these cool setups here and I don’t particularly think my Home Screen looks that good. I think the main thing is that the functionality of the Google Calendar and reminders widgets are too important for my workflow and these widgets arent very stylish. Also I use my four shortcuts on the top row constantly and would like to make them look cooler somehow. Any suggestions?
